LOVE the water. I would like to see the coast a bit more defined, maybe with some thicker lines, but the water is still wonderful. The sense of motion is amazing. And great work on the heraldry/crests!

The coast was pretty tricky. Thank you for your comment!

Nicely done! It has both a fantasy and historical feel to it. I have done maps before to, you just dont realize why map makers where so prized untill you try and do one.

I was so glad that this was a fantasy world. I learned that drawing out something with scale would have been very difficult.

Do you have any plans to do a colored version, or maybe make it look like a real parchment map? I love doing that to line art.

I don't have any more plans for the piece. It is finished.

Great work, though do have one criticism, I sure hope you don't mind.  The water effects, though neat, are very distracting.  Detracts from viewing the land portions of the map.  Great art work though.  Wish I had the skill and patience to do such by hand.

I don't mind- I like to hear opinions. The map is purely for aesthetic value, it's not designed for readability otherwise there would be no swirlies. Thank you very much for your comment!

Impressive details, this border is magnificent.

I can't say I'm fan of the dark water lines, but overall it still looks well balanced

Fantastic looking. I could see a gaggle of drawings like this matted up in quiet black frames in a gallery. would be delicious to gaze upon. Nice work!
