Well, in Final War they put Godzilla up against Zilla and the battle went on for about 13 seconds, which was mostly overkill by atomic breath. Destroyah tried to swarm Godzilla with its minions, and that didnt do much to stop Godzilla. You can have 200 Zilla's any day, but there can only be on true Godzilla!

1. Well technically Zilla's offspring (a.k.a. Zilla Jr) had developed atomic breath so it can't be him.
2. The American Godzilla is dead, so it can't be him.
3. The fight was shit. They played none of Zilla's strengths such as speed and agility, he pretty much growled for a while and threw the match. It was just a Zilla bash fest because the guy who made the movie hated the American Godzilla movie and wished to shove his opinions down everyone's throats.

Dont say "Fuck Toho". Its fuck TriStar for even coming up with that piece of garbage monster. TriStar took a icon of Japanese cinema and completely raped the name. As for your points, none of them are correct. The Animated series had no bearing on Final Wars, and why would it? Also, look at the size difference between Zilla and Godzilla. Zilla is nothing but an appetizer to Godzilla. Also, Godzilla has faced monsters faster, more powerful, and with way more abilities then Zilla. Megaguirus, Mecha Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and of course DESTROYAH!!! I can keep going, but whats the point?

Zilla was dead at the end of the American Godzilla movie anyway, so he can't be in this fight in the first place, so I can't see the events of the American Godzilla movie being canon in regards to Final War, or vice versa, but that's beside the point. No, I am saying that the fight was rigged. Zilla is fast, but in Final War he could have just about been substituted with a giant snail and no-one would notice anything different. When I heard about the Godzilla vs Zilla scene I knew that Godzilla was going to win, but I expected something that was actually worth watching. So yes, I was bitterly disappointed and I blame Toho for the object of my disappointment. So I say "F**k you Toho", and that is all there is to it.

As I grew up with both Godzilla's I'm inclined to agree with you.
Zilla Jr could fuck Godzilla up royally. He's fast and has the majority of Godzilla's powers.
Mind you he'd still get his ass beat in the end because Godzilla is fuckin' gigantic and nigh-unkillable. But yeah, that fight was garbage.

If all of the 200 hatchlings have Zilla juniors abilities when they are fully grown then the odds of victory would be increased, especially if each succesive generation has superior abilities to the one that came before. But yeah, Godzilla would most likely win with all of those powers and power-ups he can access as well.

I'm one of the few that actually like the 98 film. I find that the movie is a lot better if you just don't think of it as a Godzilla movie. As much as I love the old Godzilla movies I just like them for the cheesy aspect because every time I see it all I see is a guy in a monster costume smashing up miniatures. I actually really like the creature design for Zilla and the effects still hold up. You get a since of the scale that Zilla is causing. The 98 film still has it's share of flaws but I feel like it gets a lot more hate than it deserves and it'such shame because I really like Zilla.

Most of the comments think that Zilla will always lose, but since Zilla is much faster, a great climber aside his own radioactive flammable breath, maybe the real fight will result different. The scene in Godzilla Final Wars is just a ridiculous joke for me. Seriously.

Fucking awesome beasts! I really can't imagine how a battle between these two would actually end. I'm actually working of a "Godzilla vs. Godzilla" story myself, where of course these two monster kings will meet in fierce battles. I'm also actually trying to get the story as good as possible and not making any simple, boring shit. From the stories I have written earlier, I've got very good response, appearantly the number of people wanting to hear/read my stories are increasing, so I'm going to go further with the project, in the near future, I also hope to do an animated movie of my story, so wish me luck! However, really good and awesome picture! It's a good job, pease try make some more! Peace!

Except that battle was a joke, a parody, not serious in any way. I bet there are people, except me, that probably could have done a way longer, better, cooler, serious, realistic, and more exciting battle scene between these two kings of monsters. I'm a bit ashamed of Final Wars because of making that scene so bad. I should note that the Godzilla '98 which appeared in that movie didnt really look like the original creature from the 1998 film, niether was it as big and realistic and it also didn't have the same behaviour. The actual great American Godzilla '98 is way better, stronger, bigger, and smarter than the Final Wars Zilla. 13 seconds? Bite me! The battle would have lasted way longer if it was serious, but unfortunately, it was just a parody which haters of Godzilla '98 wanted to see, and thats sad actually.

Oh please, don't tell me you actually take the scene from Final Wars seriously? That scene was a joke, a simple unserious parody. If they couldn't have done the scene better, it's actually not worth watching, this pathetic scene even bringed upon shame on Gojira, I'm one of those who are ashamed of this scene and it's creators. I'd rate that scene 1 (or just maybe 2) out of 10, and that point is only standing for getting to see a pretty cool Gojira and something that almost looked like Godzilla '98 in the movie. But overall, the scene was just a bad joke, nothing to get excited over. A real fight between these two monsters would surely have lasted way longer, considering the chances of a big, slow, dino with just fire breath battling an iguana with awesome, great and unmatched intelligence, agility, size, strength, and speed etc. I suppose only ignorant haters can enjoy something like the GFW-scene. I'm a fan of both the Japanese Godzilla and the American Godzilla, but the GWF-scene is still so pathetic and ridiculous, it still could have been way better.

Personally i think Zilla would lose in any fight he's in. Take these fight s for example:
Mega shark vs zilla winner: Mega Shark.
Moby dick vs zilla winner: Moby Dick.
Crocosaurus vs zilla winner: Crocosaurus.
Giant octopus vs zilla winner:Crocosaurus.
Spinoasurs vs Zilla winner:Spinosurus.
Kraken vs zilla winner:Kraken.

Zilla will always be weak no matter what fans say to prove me wrong and honestly i wouldn't be suprised if Zilla had a reboot with having a different origin and being a different mutated animal dead or alive cause here are some reasons why:
1. TOHO hates Zilla so much that they'd give/throw himaway like he's yesterday's trash.
2. Godzilla fans all over would still hate him regardless of him having powers that make him powerful along with a new design.
3. Fans and critics alike wouldn't care about Zilla reboot no matter how badass it looks.
and 4. If Zilla does get a reboot everyone world wide is gonna hate from the bottom of their hearts.

Yeah, in a fire vs. radioactivity fight probably, but logically, Godzilla (Zilla) would probably use more strategy and intelligence than fire breath against Gojira, Zilla can easily and fast avoid Gojiras nuclear breath and attack Gojira from anywhere, that is if Zilla is angry enough or feels threatened enough, which are feelings that Gojira would not necessarily give a creature like Godzilla 1998. Practically the only thing stopping Godzilla '98 from killing/defeating Gojira is Gojiras otherwordly tough and thick hide/skin, a feature which I don't like that much.
