Description happy mothers day everyone!(however i believe its a little too late to say that)! also my sisters birthday is on mothers day as well and i made this for her as a gift(yet again, i started it the saturday before but ended up taking a week to finish it, due to school, homework and all the other stuff)! anyways this is psychon, as you can see, its a double planet system and what you cant see is that it orbits a triple star system! i was originaly gonna show the planets from the night side with the stars in between the planets but i realized that the final pic would make the planets look too dark. so i did a side shot instead and it came out much better! both planets are inhabited with the main planet being the small looking-one in the background and the secondary planet being the large-looking one in the fore ground. now for the size of the planets. the main planet is twice the size of earth and the secondary planet is 3/4 the size of the main planet so its 1 and a 1/2 times the size of earth! . so in truth the planets are rather far apart, which is a good thing because then their moons would smash into each other! the tiny gray moon and large aqua-blue moon orbit the main planet while the large pink moon orbits the secondary planet! anyways i really like this one and i hope you guys like it!

also, please note that this scene was inspired by Melpomene[link]
which was created by TalonKarde so please pay them a visit!

Is the name Psychon intended as a reference to Space 1999?

umm dude, im not sure why, but this system of planets almost looks like something out of ratchet and clank tools of destruction. i dont know why. nice work though, and it truly looks like it belongs in a space-based exploration video game.

my work is still new and it'll take me some time before i really start getting my scenes to look professional. but thanks!

dude, if it looks good enough to compare to a ratchet and clank game on PS3, its already professional. your work already has that 3-D feel to it. it just needs slightly more in the detail area. for example, atmospheric phenomon. weather patterns add a sense of realism to space based art when planets are the subject. other than that small detail, your good.
