Made using Blender and Photoshop.

I created the scenery and the planet in the background, used a wallpaper for the stars and the models I downloaded then rigged and I pretty much modified all of them. I redesigned the Ironman MRK7 (First Avengers movie) and Samus is glowing.

It makes sense that this should be my FIRST post here, because this was the image. This is what made me say "okay, I'm gonna do this. If I can make this, I can make the stories I want too make," it's one of my first ever renders.

Now for the story behind this...

This is set in a universe which all manner of other fictional universe exist as one, with some aspects from Marvel and DC (mainly the sci-fi parts because Ironman and Chief look good together), to all or at least most of the Sci-Fi’s you know and love, and even fantasy worlds with medieval settings, magic and weaponry in far away places. Most of it is compartmentalised in a way so that genres and tones don't carry over to each other too much. (I've since decided this was a dumb idea and mostly stick to just sci-fi video games as the tone is more consistent that way)
When I created this I imagined it was set roughly in the 2100 or 2200's from a story arch revolving Earth and her colonies, sometime after both the Flood and Reapers have been defeated (note that in this universe they had a connection and showed up at roughly the same time), the United Earth Government has finally seen the need to establish a “response” group to deal with crisis out of ordinary humans control, similar to the days of old where costumed heroes would battle threats no normal human could, catastrophic events have brought fourth the need for enhanced or specially talented humans to join forces once again and defend humanity…
So when a distress signal was picked up from LV-426 (planet from the first & second aliens movie) a response team from this group was sent out to investigate the cause of the signal.
This team consisted of:
-Commander Shepard of the UEG Navy.
-Isaac Clarke, an Engineer and survivor of the first Necromorph encounter/infection.
-Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, the most accomplished Spartan/augmented human of the UEGA’s Navy
-Rhodey Stark, a genius descendant of one of the greatest avengers who ever lived: marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Rhodey_S…
(I took artistic liberties with her armour for this)
-Samus Aran, a biologically enhanced product of the Chozo and former soldier of the Galactic Federation turned rogue bounty hunter
As you can see, the mission is not going well for them, on the plus side they may of found the cause of the distress signal…

Note that this was concept art, the actual story and universe has developed in my mind since I made this and circumstances change, though I definitely plan on visiting LV-426 with the Vindicates one day. Originally Samus's backstory was altered more than what was acceptable so I re-designed the timeline/lore of the universe to better fit her in. The Vindicate's storyline is purely sci-fi, and barely touches upon the more out-there themes of DC, or Fantasy genres.

UPDATE #2:

There's an unspoken rule in art, and it's that when you're done, you're done. Otherwise you'll be touching it up forever.

Unfortunately I do no follow this rule. After receiving some constructive critism I decided to go back and redo my first ever Amalgamation Universe render with some touch ups.

I fixed some of the lighting and posing issues that were commented on and replaced the shotty Commander Shepard amour with an actual commander Shepard model (ripped from game) and decided to centre him. After all I do think of Commander Shitface to be the Captain Murica of the Vindicates, because of his leadership skills and the confusion of whether or not he's superhuman or not lol. I also added in way more Xenomorphs and messed around with the fog AND composited the image using Blender's compositor.
