I really, really hope this is the last WIP. Should be since there's not really going to be any more major advancements other than finishing details and cleaning up. Spent hours today working on the tail, had no idea what to do with it and took a few design attempts before doing the obvious and keeping it consistent with the whole thing xP so I used the same sort of spines on the face to line the spikes on the tail. I'm happy enough with how it looks I think. It's just the thickness of the whole tail and how it's curving is throwing me off but it might be okay as it is. The only major thing to do now is refine the look of the wings and clean up the face and feet... and of course, shade every damn scale xD such fun.

For each dragon I'm designing I'm using snakes for colour schemes. For this it's primarily my love for white royal pythons and how they often have a yellow tinge but also I've looked at golden rat snakes, corn snakes and African bush vipers for help getting a nice palate to work with. In fact, I'm using African bush vipers for reference of both colour and the spiky scale look for all my dragons. That and the Javan mudsnake aka the 'dragon snake'. Yeah, I really like snakes
