Description
This tank originally belonged to AS 305 of Captain Delacommune under the 501e RAS, part of the 2nd Company, 1st Section of the 2nd BCL. The vehicle was captured during the German advance to the Marne after May 1918, and was then sent to the German Tank Technical Center BAKP 20 at Charleroi for study. The tank would be repaired and have its turret removed and replaced by a dummy turret constructed from steel. By August and September 1918, this tank would be attached to Abteilung 14 and would be seen photographed next to three of the unit's captured British tanks named Heinz II, Liesel III, and Lotte III.
