Inked sketches from the fandoms of Slayers and InuYasha, all done the last week of December 2008. Some to be taken further, others finished in this stage. Characters (c) Hajime Kanzaka or Rumiko Takahashi.

1) Inspired by Slayers rpg with . Inside a phantom Flagoon and guided by Ash the tree spirit, Xelloss is among a band of individuals forced to face something they've been avoiding. Interestingly enough, for Xelloss, famed as the "Dragon Slayer" for his genocide of a clan of golden dragons, the mirage he faces is the thousands of dead golden dragon bodies as well as the golden dragoness Filia Ul Copt with his staff impaled through her body. The phantom Filia slaps him and says "you'll kill me too" before the hallucination ends.

2) What-if scenario (which does NOT happen in manga or anime, so don't freak out): Kagome has died and InuYasha rushes in a blind frenzy at her powerful attacker. Sesshoumaru of all people intercedes, blocking his little brother from his suicide mission. Because, if you've read the manga, you know Sesshoumaru actually becomes protective of InuYasha in his own rather strange way.

3) Another what-if scenario: Sesshoumaru protecting his precious child, the human orphan Rin, from an attack by a sacred arrow...which pierces him in the back. I wonder why I'm so violent to my favorite characters, lmfao....

4) Spoof of a typical InuYasha manga event: InuYasha blusters furiously into a battle and Sesshoumaru causes him to cool his jets and think for a minute, in a brusque big-brother fashion, points out the inconsistency and folly of lil bro's logic, and then pretty much solves the problem himself. Sesshoumaru is such an INTP lol .

5) Inspired by Slayers rpg with Mally-chan: Rezo Greywers, the Red Priest, and his half-human, half-angel daughter Lily. .

6) More Mally-chan rpg. Rezo finds a cure for great-grandson Zelgadiss Greywers's chimera curse but Zel is reluctant to trust the man who broke that trust when he was 17. Ironically, despite the familial discord, they look like twins (only difference is Rezo has plum colored hair and Zelgadiss's hair is alternately light or dark blue). I wonder if Kanzaka did that on purpose.

7) Mally-chan again! Xelloss and Mally's OC Rhyshu Kailani. Sorry to disappoint, it's not slash lol they're "brothers." And Rhyshu is very physically affectionate. Lol.
