Author's Note: Conceptualizing and writing a stealth mission is kind of difficult. Although I've studied modern day tactics and strategy, it's hard to apply them not only to this specific setting I've described, but also Warhammer: 40,000 in general. Imperial forces tend not to be the sneakiest beakies around and those that are tend to be very rare specialists or specific regiments. Cadian Shock Troops tend to be jacks of all trades, though, meaning they're proficient at just about everything. But in general, just describing light, sound, movement, etc. for a stealthy aspect of a story is a challenge and I think it's easy for a reader to perhaps get lost along the way if a writer doesn't hit all the right notes. But it's a good challenge and I enjoy the opportunity to grow. I believe, now that I've edited this chapter a total of 4 times, that I've finally managed ensure that it's a good scene that doesn't lose the reader.

Oh, and for those of you who perhaps aren't familiar with 40K, the daemon I described at the end is a Beast of Nurgle; look up the concept art if you want to be revolted!
