"The Sabertooth"Smilodon fatalis/californicus. A digital painting I did last month. It's been a while since I actually posted any finished artwork online.
This is the first time I've done a sabertooth cat. I finished up this right before this years Society of Vertebrate Paleontology meeting, and the art print I donated did very well at the silent auction and was noticed by a Smilodon expert.
Done using pencils and Photoshop CS5.
Completed in late October 2016.
