Description "Weird Sisters"

Qianzhousaurus sinensis. A digitil painting of a trio of female Qianzhousaurus defending their patch of territory against an intruder.

This started off as an idea from a comment someone made on my Baba Yaga painting. Basically it was a famous quote from MacBeth. I chose Qianzhousaurus as the subject for its long, narrow snout, which would play nicely with the whole witch idea.

I looked to one of my favorite artists, Boris Vallejo, for some inspiration, namely his painting, The Dryads.

Completed on the 29th of July 2018.

Done using Photoshop CC and pencils.

The Dryads were the three hags from the story of Perseus, I believe, when he visited them to try and figure out how to best defeat Medusa?

No, the dryads were the oak nymphs.  You're thinking the Graeae.

That's right. Guess I got a little mixed up there.

I personally thought this was a Dracula reference, witch also has three weird sisters.
