THIS IS BLOODY MASSIVE Download or fullview.This is just how I draw, and it took a while to put together but I'm quite happy with it. If anyone ever wondered how to do lineart or colour or shade, or if you juts want to see how I do stuff this is for you!
The artwork in question is a kiriban prize for :devlunethetger:, I might upload that tonight aswell.
That also means my to do list is finally done yay!
I want to draw my characters more!
I did this in Photoshop Elements 7 so some things might be different in your drawing programme sorry!

YESYESYESYES This absolutely fantabulous! You explained it really well, and I learned a couple of new things ^^ Unfortunately Fireworks doesn't have layer locking features, so I have to make do without, but I can still use this

Aww, well layer locking isnt the most important thing really. If your as advanced digitally as you are you probably dont need it

It sounds really weird in the tutorial, but its basically cell shading but you erase it a bit more to make things blend in?
I can't remember where I first learned about it I'll look through my old pictures and see...

Heh, this is pretty much EXACTLY how i do my stuffs, only i don't bother with tidying up the colouring, and i do my shading slightly different. (I'll give this a go!

Same. When i first used it i ended up colouring in everything by hand or using the pencil for lineart until i learned about the expand/contract options.
