Description
« former page | next page »About this piece of the tutorial: Practice practice practice. At first you may make the highlights too sharp but remember a little goes a long way with white.
So, this tutorial is huge. Definitely not for the faint of reading. It's extremely detailed or at least as extremely detailed as I can stand to be.
Sorry about the quality. ): Some detail was lost in saving.
Something I forgot to mention is that I use a pressure sensitive tablet which you may or may not absolutely need for the precision this technique requires. I have never tried it so I'm not sure, though.
It might be helpful for you to first take the same reference I used and try to 'copy' (not trace but try to reproduce) the example I have done here. It might help you learn. While it is not usually acceptable to copy other artist's work I give you full permission to do so with this tutorial- as long as, if you post it, you link back here.
Find any little errors, spelling mistakes or general unclearness? Let me know!

A little spelling mistake- "Now for the 'shiney' part". Shiney should be "shiny". (First line)
Amazing tutorial. I've been looking for one of these for like, ages.

Extra 'e' for extra shiny. Thanks for pointing that out!
I'm glad you find it helpful.
