Hello Jordan,
Your design is totally futuristic and awesome but a bit complex or somehow strange.
I saw your videos. Nice work and effort!
Bubbles UI is a whole different project though. Now there is an open if you want to work on Bubbles. Since you are into this idea then maybe you could join us.

Thanks.
Are you in tandem with microsoft?

That project looks quaintly similar to this, or are they one in the same?

You missed the description
And please talk to me in human language, don't try to show how smart you are because i'm too idiot to make you feel genius. Ok buddy?

apologies my intention is not so.
It's just that I speak terribly, but get a chance to express myself well in writing.
I as saying that I found a very similar project on you tube.
As a software artist myself, I know that the fear the artist is that another has already captured their vision..

Sorry

First of all there is no fear my friend.
I was inspired since 2011, it's not a new project. I created the Bubbles concept and i shared it. It's registered and copyrighted so i don't think there is a fear. I guess some others will have to fear.
Today this project its not just a concept, its under development and obviously there are much more than just a concept.
I can accept that you cant speak properly though so there is not a missunderstanding. I just explain how i work.
So you are a software programmer?
π: 0 β©: 1
UniBrain In reply to andreascy [2013-04-27 04:45:43 +0000 UTC]
when i say i can't speak properly, I don't mean my expression amidst paper or text.
I mean I voice words vigorously, but my writing is exemplary.
So we are different after all.
When i created uni-cortex I feared insanely that somebody else may have captured my concept.
To this day I haven't found proof of this, so I rest at ease, accomplished of my work. [link]
Yes i am a software programmer! [link]
I wrote the code that renders uni cortex.

lol
First of all welcome to dA.
Seconly before you feel insane and that someone stole your concept learn to study to who you refer to, how you refer to him and for what reason.
The fact that you came and told me that Bubbles remembers you your design when you have no idea with who you are talking with then i'm afraid this tactic could bring you problems. I don't accept the "oops mistake" words or meanings. At least be careful with what you comment in public.
With that said i guess I must be the one that has the right to talk after seing that you are creating now something similar to the historical Bubbles. I don't care if you code it or if you demonstrate it. I must be the one who feels insane not you. Don't mix things
As a professional you understand that i will not allow any copies of Bubbles UI.

bubbles ui is entirely different from uni-cortex.
I was just saying that as a software artiste myself, I wouldn't enjoy the fact that someone else has created what i did.
bubbles ui is about bubbles, uni-cortex is about utilizing the facets and appearance of the universe, in synergy with the human brain, to produce a computer interface.
When I said it reminded me of my design, I simply meant that we are both individuals trying to create something new, something better.
Perhaps I should have mentioned this initially.

in addition, Microsoft has already created your idea. This is shown in the video link provided.
It is exactly the same concept, only they have already implemented this.

Listen man i think i understand what you mean but you are missing some of my meanings and the way i'm talking. I'll clear some things up in order to avoid missunderstandings and to let you understand that i don't have a problem with you.
I overacted a bit to show you that i'm not the one who has to worry since i created this from the first place and of course the normal and proper way is to protect what i create. I overacted because you showed up like there is no before or that i owe to people to explain or prove what i create through the years. I'm pretty sure people recognise and support and there is not any reason that i should fall in such a loop and lose the real meanings. It will not worth the effort to prove the obvious. Nature works better for these kind of things.
I know what bubbles is and what uni-cortex is. I saw your shots, your videos, there is a huge distance between those 2 in terms of conceptual ui to usability and real action. They might look similar but they are not. I'm not naive at all! When i see a project i feel where it goes and what potential it has. Especially when you already mentioned some things like synergy with human brain etc.
Now since i feel it from the firstplace obviously i'm cool with the fact that you showed something "similar" or that you are also a creative mind that tries to bring new things around. Competition isn't bad - its health! Stealing is bad. Just ask me how many times people tried to steal an idea or whatever and they came also to me asking my input or a review. We talk for very funny moments! Obviously i smile because it's not the idea that matters so much than just the way you or your teams execute it. How far can you go? I invest there and not on some random and common ideas or even revolutionary ideas that only remain on a whiteboard.
The action is the real bet and how you support, improve, promote etc. etc. an idea (and tomorrow a product). We all live in the same world and on earth. If we are capable of reinventing the wheel then the only way to prove it is through real action and results. Not just protecting our works by shouting " hey this is mine, this is mine". People are smart, they know who innovates and who follows. Losing just time (and time is money) to play like a kid is not a solution.
I do not work like this and definitely i do not have such a need to work like this. My whole nature is shouting so many other things, i'm so busy that the only thing i demand and care of is respect as i respect others hard work!
I get your meaning now and there is not a missunderstanding. My honest opinion is that you were a bit strange with your show-up, i don't know. You cannot enjoy when others are stealing you and i agree. If you were mentioning this from the first time then maybe i could take things differently. Anyway i explained you why i overacted and that i don't have any problems with you. Everyone is welcomed to my profile and i apologize if i misunderstood you from the beginning.
And just to clear things a bit further and be fair with the situations and facts:
Microsoft hasn't created my idea. I was the one who was inspired from that specific video from Microsoft from the very beginning and this is the one that opened my mind to see world alternatively, potential and create this first concept that after led me to form a team to create it. It's something that i mentioned it on my description since 2011. That's why i refered you to my description to see that i mention from where i was inspired and the credits. Microsoft maybe is planning to bring this after 10 years..the video its just a demo. I just thought i could create and bring this out faster without any "company" relations or worries, under my side of view and concept and not as an OS but as a smaller scale project for multiplatform devices beginning from pcs.
Let's say a Rainmeter project? An AveDesk project? Something like that.
Now your project goes way further, its very futuristic and fictional that i even didn't thought about and i don't know how an indiviual can actually develop this to the end and finally reach the market, masses or whatever. I do like the overall idea but to me its a bit of "too much" or "too hard" to create it. If i had a team of NASA or MIT around then maybe we could discuss not just this project but also many others. And to be also honest, i don't know how many people would want it. I don't say i don't like it or there is not a potential. I just say i don't know. I must study it.
So thats why i invited you to join bubbles from the beginning. Because i liked your work and i think you have potential.

I think you have great potential too.

andreascy In reply to UniBrain [2013-04-28 12:13:09 +0000 UTC]
Thank you for your understanding and your interest!
Since i like to see the forrest and not the tree i want to discuss further with you some things that have to do with your skills. I must know what are the things you know and what are you able to do.
This means that since you are interested to join, i must have a clear image of your skills and your general future vision. I invited you to join Bubbles but its not ending there. I have bigger projects running than bubbles and more important. I want to know if on the end its good for you to work on bubbles, or on something else or both. Plans won't stop. But i want to discover the place that best fits you and that makes you comfortable to work with.
P.S: If you ll join then we must connect and talk more frequently through an IM or any other service that you use in order for the things to work properly. You must be able to show up, discuss, propose things, work etc. It's not a strict thing but i want to know your free time and how ready you are to do this kind of stuff. This is how teams work and only with great teamwork we can do Big things. Ensure me how things will work with you from your side and we can go further.

I am actually a final year computing student via University of the West Indies in JAMAICA.
Wonder if the distance between us will cause issues?
ATTITUDE~
I am able to adapt well to changing environments.
I will first listen to others' side, then either adopt their opinion or argue my view.
Either way, I am never reluctant to evolve; always willing to change, for the greater good.
Additionally, I normally produce target works in small time periods, so I am work-oriented.
Also I will drive myself to complete a task.
PROGRAMMING~
Anyway, I ventured beyond the course schedule, which lead to the creation of uni-cortex.
I am fluent in the Java programming language, and by extension, I know c, scheme, pascal, c#,
web development technologies (css,hmtl,javascript,php).
I have actually created a mathematical formuli that constitutes trigonometric integration in calculus II.
LITERATURE/WRITING~
I am a creative writer. I have way to string words nicely together. It probably seems natural, but its achieved through training. I have actually began to create my ow dictionary based on core belifs.
I have one "transgressive" writing amongst DevianArt.
ART~
I am a fine artist.
CREATIVENESS~
I am very creative. Uni-cortex (brain universe synonymous interface) is a nice example of this.

Thanks friend Well, now look how luck works..i already plan for some time now to develop this as a rainmeter theme. I already updated this concept with new ideas but i never submitted it on dA. I mean there is an update that i wanted to keep it as a surprise for all the friends around. I even found 1,2 people who make rainmeter themes or widgets but finally they are too busy to work on such a project. I have a vision and i wanted someone to help me. I'm full busy with developing our OS, apps, blogs etc. so i don't have the time needed to learn rainmeter. I wish i'll find sometime to find someone or a couple of people to help me to develop this.

thanks mate..well when i was making it i was thinking those big screens we use on desktop or laptop pcs not tablets..normal screens can work too but they might need a zoom or something to see those small icons its truth..maybe if on a tablet u just zoom in as someone zoom in on items using their smartphone then im pretty sure the way will be the same..maybe it will better cz tablets screen is not as small as a smartphone's..i ll update this concept soon..now im a kinda busy but soon !!
