Description
THIS DRAWING IS INCREDABLY INNCCURETT BASED ON THE THREASHER SHACK CRETOXYRHINA, NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS FOR REFERENCE.
1-Nome: Cretoxyrhina mantelli
2-Formation: Niobrara Formation, West Interior Sea, 83 Mya.
3-Length: 6.5 meters (based on the specimens with the vertebral column preserved)
4-Weight: I don’t know.
5-Diet: Carnivore, apex predator (til large mosasaurs came along) eating whatever it could bite, including large fish like Xiphactinus, young/smaller plesiosaurs, mosasaurs and sea turtles.
6-Classification: I don’t care about fish taxonomy, but Cretoxyrhinidae is apparently closer to Alopiidae them other Lamniformes.
Discussion: First I wanna not that the eye is in an awkward place (should be a little bit more "northwester" in the skull), so I could talk about Cretoxyrhina anatomy but 105697 does has a pretty good journal on it so its not necessary. It is different from what we use to see, a unique shark adapted to different challenges and pray them the great white, and its completely ridiculous and unforgivable too see people in 2018 depicting it just like a Cretaceous Great White .

While the eye could be a little bigger like in modern day threshers and is perhaps in an awkward place, I think it's still pretty cool to see somebody else portray the Cretoxyrhina closer to what it may have looked like. So, props to you!
