Background Info

Manntuno (Just call him Manny -Jazz) Is a Kilvaan, an intimidating but diplomatic alien species that spends their time observing other species and attempting to keep the peace all throughout the galaxy(They founded and make up about 50-60 percent of the Galactic Police force). Manny has a lot riding on his shoulders, as his father is head detective on the force and he's expected to step down soon.

Manny didn't seem to have any problems fitting in though, that is until Jazz showed up. When she joined the force they formed a bond instantly, he'd never had a human friend, and her colony was so remote she'd rarely seen any aliens at all. He spends a lot of his extra time helping her, covering for her, and in general working with her (now they are even partners in the field!)

His father isn't super pleased about him 'wasting' his time, instead of training to replace him as head detective, but Manny never seemed to enjoy the paperwork side of it as he has the physical side anyways.

Personality

Manny is pessimistic, quiet, cold, and calculating. He thinks very tactically, and prefers to solve altercations quickly, and with as little risk as possible. Obviously this can be difficult with Jazz around, but ultimately he views her gung-ho attitude as a tactical help at times (not ALL the time >8c), as it draws out and confuses enemies long enough to be in range. He's usually pretty black and white about his feelings, choosing to not sympathize as much as possible because it complicates the job, but he is often swayed by Jazz's concerns.

He's a huge nerd and lets it slip out sometimes in conversation, not understanding many of earths' customs but totally in love with their movies.

Abilities

He's had more than the average officer's training in marksmanship and tactical conflict. His father being the head detective has taught him a lot of things and a lot of ways to solve cases, pursue suspects, and make the best judgment calls.

As a Kilvaan, all you really need to know is that they are TOUGH, stronger than about 2.5 average human males, and with skin hard as a rock encasing the tougher parts of their body (the lighter colored parts are rock-hard and solid, the darker parts being tough, but bendable, around joints and vital-spots)

Weaknesses

He loves chocolate, sweets, and other terrible earth foods. Kilvaan society eats and drinks what they need, and for some reason never went down the route of unnecessary embellishment in food quite like Earth has. He might freak out a little if you offer him chocolate or a cheeseburger. He also has a weakness for Jazz, platonic or not.

Physically Kilvaans cannot deal with extreme temperatures. His uniform helps with being able to survive in it, but his mobility, stamina, and visibility shoot downwards in prolonged exposure. Also being that Manny only uses his Rifle, he's not as useful up-close despite being a huge, heavy Kilvaan, he doesn't have a lot of aerobic ability and can be out-sped.
