Description Still the Vorcha to go then I think I'm finally done!

I thought it was weird that the Reapers bypassed the Yahg in the game since the other races had already considered them for uplifting so they must have been further along than the evolutionary process than humans were the last time the reapers came around. Seems like bypassing the yahg would have given them ample time to become a viable threat during the next cycle, maybe moreso than the protheans even, given the extreme intellect and strength displayed by the shadow broker. My reaper Yahg has his arms converted into thannix cannons, he'd probably be introduced as a means to combat the Krogan forces on Palaven.

The Yahg are spared because they're not a spacefaring species. It's true they might run the next cycle, but that's just what the reapers want anyway. If the Yahg are able to dominate and populate a big part of the galaxy the better it gets when the reapers return for harvesting.

And while the Yahg are definitely very intelligent, ressourcefull and physically strong, the reapers simply don't have any idea what it means to fear someone or something. They think themselves invincible, no matter the opposition. ^^

BTW: Thanix-cannons? O M G!

I don't think the reapers would leave the yahg alone in the long run. I read that their level of technology is similar to Earth's in the 20th century. They are also very intelligent if you take the Shadow Broker as an example. They would have to just do an orbital bombardment when they got done with everyone else.

This is a bit wrong, the Yahg was left alone after all, due to the fact that they did not poses space travel technology

I'm saying they shouldn't have been left alone as they likely would have developed space faring technology within a few hundred years.

The way i see it that is a good thing, means they get longer time to evolve into something that would have crushed the reapers, that is if shepard had not defeated them

The Reapers simply had to display a show of force and they will immediately cow to the will of the Reapers. Yahg Mentality states they follow the head of the crowd ethics be damned. Reapers defeat them and they WILLINGLY become the servants of the Reapers.

I would think that the reapers might make an exception to the space flight thing if they knew these guys were available! I know I would!

I can't remember, but does it say in the shadow broker dlc that all the yahg were on their home planet or did any leave on other ships? Did other ships even visit that planet? Probably not I would think actually.

As far as we know there are only two yahg out among the galaxy that arent on their home planet, the shadow broker, who is dead, and the one on surkesh while your helping mordin save eve.

Amazing work but withing gameplay side for this. Thannix canons? Dude you could freaking shoot trough hundreds of people and still it would penetrate trough a ships hull.

I just hope that this badboy doesn't pack that much of a punch if he is introduced into the game. But then again it would give a real meaning to DODGE something in the game.

Are the yahg a species new to ME3? I don't remember seeing them in the previous 2 anywhere and haven't played ME3 yet.

That is one scary mother f****r!

Definately a siege unit as I can see it at the back of the lines blowing shit up with your reaper elcor.

I can easily see the reapers indoctrinating the yagh as their size and strength makes them the perfect weapon beasts. I don't think their lack of spaceflight is an issue as the reapers would have had to go to their world anyway and they could just be carried aboard reaper ships like the other troops are.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sylizar In reply to rohansoldier [2012-05-24 13:31:00 +0000 UTC]

The reason spaceflight is an issue is that the Reapers only target those that have it. They wait until a civilization has reached a certain technological level before wiping them out. It's why it is mentioned that the Raloi destroyed their spacecraft so that the Reapers would ignore them.

Dear Cthulhu, this thing is exactly as terrifying as I thought it'd be. That mouth... Some kind of siege unit, perhaps? Made to break down walls with those Thanix Cannon arms?
