A tutorial on how I colour hair. (in paint tool SAI) ..this is basically what I do.
UGH sorry if this is crap, Ive been really busy lately and Im by no means a tutorial making master, thats why if you have any questions feel free to ask and Ill happily answer them.

I love those nice clean shade lines thanks for sharing, this is the technique I was looking for. The new ones also nice but this one is more of my style.

Oh wow! learn something new everyday! haha I had no idea about the whole transparency / gradient tool thing. I feel like a derp because I would add those in manually!

What brush,and size did you use to make the strands so smooth? mine are always ending up too shaky.

O, in sai, and some other programs, there's a stabilizer which helps you make smoother lines

for thinner lines to make pictures.

exactly what does the transparency button do? How is it different than just using the eraser? I fiddled with it some but it doesn't seem really different than the eraser.

hmmmm I think the title is pretty literal, i guess it pretty much just creates a transparency in the colour
