Description When the women manifested a warp bubble powerful enough to surpass the speed of light the pain was quite severe, and they tended to hurt themselves thrashing around even in restraints.  Eventually the scientists were able to refine the process and construct a prototype containment pod that included a neural inhibitor array.  From the neck down they had no conscious motor control of their bodies.  A helmet administered doses of the red liquid and monitored their vitals.

  Thanks!  It took a bit to get the pod position right.  I'd wanted to show the women being the engines for terrestrial vehicles (very much inspired by House of Gord publications from earlier decades), but none of my attempts to put them in the vehicles in my runtime were coming out very well.  It's just as well.  I think I was trying to shoehorn a cool idea into my story that really doesn't logically follow from the premise.
