The aliens and the Spider-bots opened the tubes and pulled the women out, then began to break open the webbing that kept them cocooned. The women were weak from being kept in restraints for so long, and stretched their limbs slowly as the tubes and webbing were removed from the room.

"This is a Guhndaw research vessel." the lead alien stated telepathically. "We of the Guhndaw species are known throughout this sector of space as the main scientific advisers to the Spider-bots. As part of the Empire we trade our scientific skills for the protection and comforts the Spider-bots can give us. Though conquered many centuries ago we are one of the most honored species in the Empire today. Though this vessel is mainly configured to study stars, planets and asteroids we do have an outpost on the fourth planet of this system devoted to the study of alien species. You will be taken there for a thorough examination and scientific probing."

The women began to protest at this, and the aliens growled their displeasure. One grabbed Becka by the throat and lifted her effortlessly off the ground. Another stepped threateningly towards Ashley and she scuttled backwards. The third lifted Eriko's chin in his grey hand to force her to look at his scowling face. Tanya levered her body up on her hands and knees as two Spider-bots skittered towards her.

"Do not seek to curtail our scientific curiosity. We know little of your species. The data downloads from the doomed ships only contain basic information. They did not study you thoroughly, as we will. You will be studied physically and mentally as intensely as we deem necessary. Do not worry. When the tests are painful it will only be excruciating, not lethal. You will not be killed. As the only Terran test subjects we own, you are highly valuable."

Weak from enforced immobility and shock, the women were unable to prevent the aliens from taking them from the room and towards their days as test subjects for the Spider-bot Empire ...
