Description
When browsing for some karate photo references I found that it's fairly difficult to find a pic where you can actually see how the subject's body is posed. Why is this? Because they're usually wearing their karate-gi or some costume that makes it impossible. Also, the pics are typically of the whole body and not of the technique itself. SO! I cleared a space in my apartment and took some pictures instead of searching for them. These are meant to show/teach the basics of martials arts. Most styles have the same basic rules, such as how to punch and how to kick. Seriously, the basics aren't very different.
These pictures are NOT meant to be used in photo-manips or any other artistic medium, that's why I didn't bother with high-res. They are meant for reference only; a tutorial for how to draw or pose the move.
The left-hand picture shows the move, the right-hand picture has the pose-skeleton super-imposed to make it easier to discern joints and such. Download for full view.
