Description
I recently got this idea to redesign the main characters from Video Brinquedo's 'Little Princess School', since the majority of them are just badly animated clones of the Disney Princesses. Starting off with their rip-off of Tiana: Iria.

With this series, I wanted to make it look like these princesses are from different walks of life. For Iria, I gave her an outfit inspired by traditional Kenyan costume, as she always struck me as being from Kenya. I also wanted to make her athletic (like in the episode where she is turned into a frog and upon changing back gains new leaping abilities); so her dress is shortened and I added the Adinkra symbol for strength on her headband (I'm aware that Adinkra is actually from Ghana/Ivory Coast, but I think it fits thematically).
