Description
First off, this pattern is incomplete. I was not able to write proper instructions for the tail, just a really rough one that I have posted in my scraps here: fav.me/d74nhwc I apologize for that, but I hope the notes I have will help!
I don't know if I'm completely happy with how Pikachu's face turned out.. I don't think he looks quite accurate, but it was difficult balancing accuracy with a similar style to the other three. The ears are floppy on purpose because I like floppy ears Eyes and other details are needle felted, though I'm sure regular cut out felt or embroidering will work too. Let me know if you catch any errors! Hope you guys have a great weekend and happy crocheting!

Arms:
**For optional fingers, include puff stitches. Otherwise, ignore the slip stitches and puff stitches and just do single crochet stitches.
Puff stitch:
Do 3 incomplete double crochet stitches (all but the last step of the double crochet stitch) into the same stitch. You should have 4 loops on your hook at this point. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops to complete. Make sure to tighten this stitch as much as you can before continuing to prevent holes from forming.

When I'm trying the puff stitch I just can't get my hook through 2nd loop doing the 2nd step of first double crochet. Even broke my yarn twice already xD. Any tips?

Try to turn the hook all the way so the hook faces down and pull up the loops high enough.
I sometimes just grab the loop and get it over the hook with my fingers xD

Autumnsdebri In reply to Ekkaia87 [2016-12-21 08:58:20 +0000 UTC]
FO is "finish off", so basically just finish the last row and then finish or bind off at the end of the last stitch of the previous row. So if row 9 is "dec around (5)", after your final decrease finish/ bind off the piece.

I think it depends on what yarn you use. right now I'm working on it and I'm using cotton yarn. So mine is really small, small enough to be in my hand.

I'm kinda scared of trying it though, have never done it before and don't wanna mess it up! But it's also my first time crocheting and the pikachu and bulbasaur have come out really well!! aphid777 In reply to GunslingerGirl32 [2015-09-20 17:50:20 +0000 UTC]
I usually lay the body and head on a flat surface and sew them together really slowly. I'll keep laying them back down to make sure I'm sewing in the right spots to keep head in the position I want. I do the same for the limbs afterwards. I hope that helps!

Sorry for the late response! I can find materials at some Michael's stores, but not all of them. I've started buying supplies on Amazon and eBay because there's more variety. You can search "needle felting" and "wool roving" to find the supplies you need!
