First off, this pattern is incomplete. I was not able to write proper instructions for the tail, just a really rough one that I have posted in my scraps here: fav.me/d74nhwc I apologize for that, but I hope the notes I have will help!
I don't know if I'm completely happy with how Pikachu's face turned out.. I don't think he looks quite accurate, but it was difficult balancing accuracy with a similar style to the other three. The ears are floppy on purpose because I like floppy ears

**For optional fingers, include puff stitches. Otherwise, ignore the slip stitches and puff stitches and just do single crochet stitches.
Puff stitch:
Do 3 incomplete double crochet stitches (all but the last step of the double crochet stitch) into the same stitch. You should have 4 loops on your hook at this point. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops to complete. Make sure to tighten this stitch as much as you can before continuing to prevent holes from forming.

This is so adorable. And lucky for me, I found it just in time for my friend's birthday in a couple weeks, who just so happens to love Pikachu.
Might I ask how much and what type of yarn you used for this little guy and the Charmander? I hope to be able to get to the store this week, and want to be sure I get enough. c:

Thank you!! I use acrylic yarn, specifically Red Heart Supersaver brand for both Pikachu and Charmander (I don't remember the exact colors). They're not too big, so you won't even get close to using a whole skein of yarn.

Those adorable eyes, I cannot resist them! <3
And that floppy ear omfg. It gives this particular Pikachu a very endearing look, like a little lost kitten you have to take home. (I may have been suckered into taking my rabbit home because he has ears EXACTLY like that, and to this day it cheers me up 100% when I see his ears go like that.)
I'm going to have to try this pattern out sometime and make one for myself. Thank you for always being so kind as to share your patterns, it's really awesome of you to type them out and take all that time and effort to share.

I think those eyes look soulful and irresistable, like "take me hoooome and hug me!" And yes, floppy ears are cute so having them on your Baby Pikachu endears it to me. x3 (Ahaha, I'm a cat person but I'm a little more a rabbit person, so I live with both. xD)
I do hope so. Your patterns look so fun and amazing, and I'm sure they ARE. I want to more fun, personal stuff this year if I can manage the time!

For the tail I would probably chain the parts needed and then sew each part separately together so you get the right shape. I would find it too hard to do it in one piece.
