What's the purpose for this? For a game or just to look at? It's very nicely shaded and highly detailed, it looks a lot more realistic than most pixel art. I think you've done the belly really well, that could easily have gone wrong, but you've managed it to both be a little bit uneven but make it look perfectly natural - too much uniformity wouldn't have worked. So well done!

Ah ok. Would be very difficult to animate I reckon, but a very effective style. Infact, it has a resonance with the super realistic Donkey Kong Country style, while still being uniquely different.
