Description
Painting the nails. A sculpture made out of plaster and wood sticks for supports.It's a nice moment and I think this piece captures it well.

you should try casting for this piece, the detail you can get on the skin is beautiful. i think it would do wonders- great idea

I've wanted to cast this into bronze for a few years now... but alas.... bronze is expensive.

bronze would be a good alternative. but i have to disagree i think plaster is perfect, there is still clearly thought out form (that emulates the realistic nature of the subject matter) while holding that rough texture still indexical of kevin's hand and the fact that it is made out of plaster, (which i find to be important, material can say alot.)
what impresses me is the forearm holding the brush seems to be balancing with pretty good stability on the two wooden sticks. but i suppose that kind of balancing act is to be expected from kev.
