My final project for my Graphic Design class.(I put the nudity filter on just incase, although I don't think it should actually need it.)
I would have liked to have more time to work on this, but I waited too long to start. It's not as complete as I would like but it'll work, I guess.
I do like how the seal skin came out though. ^.^I'm not used to drawing females so hopefully she looks okay..... >.>
These are two creatures from Celtic/Irish Folklore, called Selkies. Selkies are seals that every once in a while can shed their skins and walk around has humans.

OH MY GOSH! *goes into crazy stalker mode* You know what selkies are!?! That's insane! Sorry, I'm excited. I've never heard anyone talk about them outside of my family and my one Irish friend. Anyway, its an awesome piece. You did a really great job on it.

I love selkies so much....and i really like the way you portrayed them shedding their skins. I love how you can see the skin still partly sticking to the female's shins, slowly peeling back....and the curve of her body is just pretty. <3 Love it. And the seal-face is cuuuute.
Their eyes are rather enchanting as well.

^__^ Thanks! If I had had more time I would have like to expound on it and have a little more "residue" from the shedding. (I might go back and do this later) I can't image they would be too clean after it after all.

<3 That would be really cool, I'd definately like to see it if you update. And the eyes really do look very seal-like - i really like that, because, that way, even if they're human, they still have that inhuman quality that would make you wonder whats going on... ;D

Your female is gorgeous. That stark black hair and dark eyes... and curves, yum curves.
