Hello again ^^Well, this is the tutorial about how I make the lineart in Photoshop (I already made one for Corel Photopaint)
It is in english AND spanish (I hope you can understand my english >_>;;;.... )
WARNING: the file is BIG!! It is 2053 x 1005 pixels, so DOWNLOAD it for a fullview.

EDIT: Oh, yes!! This is IMPORTANT!! When you finish the cleaning of the lineart and you want to color it (STEP #9), you must change the mode to RGB again.
So, go to menu IMAGE > MODE > RGB Color ...And then, when it asks you about to combine all the layers or not, choose "NOT COMBINE", thats all. ^_^

EDITADO: Esto es muy IMPORTANTE!! Cuando termines de limpiar el lineart y quieras pintarlo (PASO #9), debes cambiar al modo RGB de nuevo. Entonces, selecciona el menu IMAGEN > MODO > RGB Color ...Y luego, cuando te pregunte si quieres combinar todas las capas o no, elige "NO COMBINAR", eso es todo. ^_^

Me ha encantado este tutorial, nunca conseguia tener un buen lineart con el photoshop una vez escaneado.
Y hacerlo directamente en el photoshop me rekeria 100 veces mas de tiempo k entintarlo directamente en el papel.
En el proximo dibujo lo intentare^^.

This was sooooo helpful. Could you help me with one thing though? When I colour it the bits that I've cut out with the lasso tool get coloured brighter. Do you know a way to get rid of it all?

Excuse me, but i need help. I do ink my drawings and such but my "scanner" doesn't work (it's a freakin cheap printer/scanner/copier) so until my dad buys one i'm making my fanarts on the computer if i want to post it here and such. I'm done with my "lineart" well partly, i use Photoshop Elements so it doesn't have some of the tools in regular Photoshop since it's an unprofessional version. I try to search for a tutorial on google but it doesn't really work. How do i turn my pic into lineart so i can color it properly?

por cierto, lo he entintado en otro programa (paint tool sai) ya que era escaneado muuy antiguo de hace unos meses y no he podido encontrar ni el lapiz para entintar ni el dibujo asi que lo guarde de todas formas en jpg,
y que es una tableta? o tabla? nunca lo supe y siempre lo pregunto!!
gracias por el tuto no estoy muy acostumbrada al photoshop que he usado el cs2 o 9.0,
cuando lo termine subire el lineart y el pintado de un personaje nuevo,yay!

wow i think i've been attempting thingsthe hard way thru trial and error 
awesome tutorial!! but man, i have difficulty trying to color hair with the fine lines...like characters like yours for example have fine hair..how do you color it?
i do the layer over layer thing and erase and use the smudge and burn tools
although i'm not sure if i'm doing it right haha
