Description
Thanks to Anah and Toren (and a not-so-subtle hint in my journal), I had a chance to work with on another art trade (Yayyyyy art trades!!!!), and she wanted to know if I could do a 3D render of her character, Black Matryx in return. She gave me lots of character images to use as reference, and that was extremely helpful, but I was thrown by the fact that her character had a tail. A big one.I had only a paltry little Raptor tail in Poser. So I actually went and spline-modeled one in Cinema 4D. The tail itself turned out great, I thought; the fringe probably not so much, but I managed to color it up in Photoshop and the end result wasn't half-bad.
So there she is. Black Matryx (c) Elle-chan, and thanks go out to Awful Soul, Bat Labs, Danie/Marforno (whose name I know I constantly butcher), Daz, and the inestimable et al.

And sure, spline modeling might sound difficult, but.... mmh. Okay, yeah, it is, a little. Fortunately, I took a class and stuff, so I actually have some limited idea what I'm doing. ^_^
