DOWNLOAD for full viewOh noes! It seems that *Kreizen 's adventurous pair of Vhaidra the Drow Warrior and Celise the Elvish Monk have gotten themselves in over their heads again... this time after finding an artifact-- the Jewel of Kharvun-- with... shall we say, expansive... properties.
Okay, first and foremost, an all out apology to my current crop of commissioners, including , who commissioned this particular piece... this one took me a hell of a lot longer than I envisioned, mostly because I couldn't come up with a way to expand the two characters in a way I was particularly happy with. I probably could have done something really goofy and simple, like rendering and photomanipping it, but I'm not big on the idea of having someone pay for a commission and then half-assing my way along through it. So what I ended up doing was creating new textures based on half-body renders and adapting them to spherical texture placement. It took a long while, but I'm much happier with the final result. Hopefully is, too!
Vhaidra and Celise are © , used (and I guess, abused
) with permission. I may strongly considering asking permission to use (or abuse, as the case might be) them again sometime when my slate allows for it.The Jewel of Kharvun and its holder were modeled by me in Cinema 4D. The remainder of the background and character looks are via Daz3D and Runtime DNA. Everything was done in Poser 7, Cinema 4D and Photoshop over the course of three weeks.

It's okay. The hate line is over there, next to the bean dip. You see, the really long one that stretches out the door, filled with surly people I've pissed off over the years by either antagonizing them or standing up for crap they don't believe in on the internet? Or other things, I guess, too... wow, is that my third-grade teacher there, too? Small world!
Admittedly, I don't try to churn this sort of thing out except for special occasions and commissions. I'm still not completely satisfied with the results, because I feel like I really didn't get the effect to look as nice as I saw in my mind, but considering I don't partake in this sort of thing often, I was happy enough with it... elsewise my commissioner might have been waiting a crapload longer, and that would be no fair to anyone.
