Description
Not sure if this is going to be helpful but, Ta Da!... Here it is, a pony head tutorial thingy. Also these are here to help you start learning to draw ponies, make sure you try to develop your own style and not flat out copy mine or others, sure learning from others is fine and thats how I started but you got to venture out there and try something different for a change. Get the basics down then start breaking those rules and go crazy with how you draw, see just how far you can stretch those limits. I admit I still haven't completly left my comfort zone but I'm gradually working on it. So I hope you guys do too.

I'm just gonna say this- there's nothing wrong with copying someone's art style, it literally doesn't even belong to them and/or you. People do have the right to use other people's art style, including ""your"" art style. I say 'your' in quotes because it clearly isn't just 'your' art style to be claiming, no one should be claiming an art style because everyone is allowed to use someone else's art style. I'm sorry, but that part where you said in the desc "Try to develop your own style and not flat out copy ""mine"" or others." I understand that people need to develop their own style, but you can't stop someone from using ""your"" art style.Β

This was from 4 years ago and I was a kid worried about people trying to steal my art because I have had people use my tutorial/reference images and use them for their own commissions (which is not okay).
I guess the rest of that is your opinion. But flat out copying someone elses art and trying to pass it off as your own work ain't okay.
Copying someone elses style to learn how to draw is fine.Β
Just draw what you like and over time you'll cherry pick the elements you like best and develop something you like, that's what I did.

Oh my gosh, your style ~ <3
It's so flexible and expressive, the facial expressions aren't limited at all by the facial structure, which is something I struggle with a lot.Β

I'd like to correct myself. Bronyz_draw has traced very many of your original pieces. Looking through your one art, I realized how many are the same as 'his', and thought you would like to know this.

Thank you for informing me. Though it is ok for people to use my tutorials for references, they are using my work for commissions and have not mentioned or credited my self for the poses he is using.
Using my work for commissions is not ok. Though there's not really much I can do and I've no idea how that website works. At the very least I'd want him to credit me in the images he's used and then cease using my are for commissions.
Thanks anyway.

I would like to alert you to the fact that bronyz_draw on Instagram has traced one of your examples in this tutorial. Which, btw, is absolutely amazing. (The tutorial. Not the theft.) Here is a link to the post with the theft, as you might want to view it - square-pics.com/m/104791663577β¦ Thank you for your time!

The 'cross or line' thing is very helpful ^^ Thank you for this tutorial, it's gonna help me! Your style is way more unique than mine, but I'm working on my own so it will be show accurate and still anatomically correct! Wish me luck c:
I only wondered... Is the line on the top is needed while drawing mouths? I see many people draw pony muzzles like this but also many other artists don't do it... Anyone could tell me is it necessary? Thanks in advance ;D! And sorry for any grammar mistakes!

I was wondering if u can make one or draw one with different eye shapes like discord's, the mane six, and Celestia's? Because I am having a lot of problems with the eyes.

for such simplistic sketches they hold a lot of emotion, expression is difficult to convey and you pull it off magnificently

I love the expressions. That is something I have always been terrible at, but you are wonderful at it. You are able to convey such specific emotions and feelings through just a few simple lines. I love it.
