Too many times have I seen some strange looking legs on ponies, so I thought some of you out there might find this helpful.Tell me if the font is too small and I'll try to fix it.

This helped me a lot. I've never been particularly bad at legs, but they have always lacked emotion and depth. I took a sketchbook page to draw all of your examples here, and I think it was a great learning experience. Definitely a favorite.

"Give shape to their legs, don't make them the same width all the way down."...Unless you're drawing King Sombra's legs.

I use as close to real horse anatomy as I can without being ugly. Yes joints are awesome though

An easy way I remember is the chip off a peice near the butt on the back leg. Then I go over and make it look nice
