A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: CYBERTRON Downshift downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link] , and then heavily edited by me. (I had to draw the engine block from scratch.)Smokescreen. I know we’re supposed to be getting Cyb Crosswise repainted into Smokescreen, and I’m sure it’ll look decent, but something about Downshift’s vehicle seemed like it was asking for a flamboyant racing deco. And it fits. Slap some #38’s on him, ad some other various racing decals, and that vehicle mode would make an awesome Smokescreen, though it seems like he’s entering a demolition derby rather then an actual race. But that’s cool too. As for the bot mode, aside from the HEAD, which is pure Wheeljack, I think he even makes a pretty decent Smokescreen there too. Hell, just pretend the head is a weird battle helmet/mask or something, and it’s believable enough. It even has his crests molded on! D’ah well. I think it looks pretty good, if not a little cheesy, but this is one of the only TF molds that could actually pull off a cheesy deco and make it look like it was made for it. Sweetest vehicle mode EVER.

That's actually not half bad. Looks much nicer than I thought it would, but still can't get around that head looking like Wheeljack's with G1 Smokescreen colors on it. All in all, it's a cool repaint, but they'd really need to change the head if such a repaint was ever produced.
BTW, nice job touching up the instructions and adding the engine parts and lines to the mouth piece.

Heh, i guess i'm just more forgiving then most tf fans, hehe. (of course, if they tried messing with someone like Mirage, Ironhide, or Roadbuster, then I might have something to say...)

Well, had I not had Downshift's instructions handy (still can't remember why, too) I would never had noticed you added them in. Maybe you should try getting into Hasbro by saying you're better at drawing lineart and then get yourself transfered to the repaint department (so as to make happen all your repaints ideas, special packs and whatnots), yes?
