A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: Armada Hoist downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]This was ~SigmaCore ‘s idea and I really liked it, and wanted to do a digi-repaint of it. It’s supposed to be the G1 Dinobot, Sludge. Ideally, the Cybertron Longrack remold would be better for this, but Hasbro didn’t edit the instructions for the remold, so we hafta use this one. Frankly, while I like the remold and think it might make a better Sludge, I think this version is almost just as good. The Hoist head has a certain “dopey buttkicker” feel to it that’s very appropriate for the Dinobots. As for the minicon, again, Siggy suggested it colored like the Armada/TFU Dinobot Sludge figure. Dunno what the minicon would be named though (cause if we used the Cyb version as originally intended, there wouldn’t be any minicon). This is just the first of what will hopefully be several digi-repaints based on Siggy’s ideas/suggestions. (Well, technically second since I did a repaint of his Energon Bluestreak long ago. Not to mention some others I did a while ago and have yet to post…

This would be a very appropriate thing. We all remember that book about the steam shovel percieved as a dinosaur, right?

I love this idea. I'd love to see more Dinobots with Vehicle modes... maybe Scattorshot as Slag, or Thundercracker as Swoop.

Yes, well... As I had mentionned to you a while back (I think), it's not exactly what I had pictured in my minds eye but Sludge looks so great I don't really care. I love what you did with the color swaps from the G1 character to this mold. I do believe it's the best animal-alt mode to vehicle alt-mode makeover ever.
Well, until you post a recolor of Cybertron Buzzsaw as Cybertron Waspinator. That's tough competition right there.

Aside from putting red paint on the forward part of the cab (where the windows are) and making the front part of the legs the same color as the arms (more paint aps), nothing. As I said, this is pretty much it as it is.

i get ya. To make it more porportinal colorwise to the g1 robot mode. I agree with the legs, and if it wasn't "to much paint apps" to coat the entire lower legs, i would have done it, heh.

Thanks, though I think ~SigmaCore should get the credit for this one. It was his idea, i just tried to take a stab at visualizing it.
(Though it would be a pretty awesome toy to be able to buy, heh. He could join the craptacular Energon Grimlock & Swoop...)

a better name for the mini-con might be ''rock slinger'' after sludge's mold sling from bw neo.

Why not call the minicon Deep Digger or Deep Dig? I know they sound crappy but cut me soem slack... I bet Hasbro sometimes has headaches trying to come up w/name for these robots.
