A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for Armada Demolishor I scanned myself from the copy of the instructions that came with the toy.

One of the coolest ideas EVER. Soundblaster. How do you make Soundwave, one of the all time coolest characters and Toys in all of Transformers history even better? Impossible you say? Well you make him black and with a crimson window, much like everyone’s favorite evil Optimus clone, Scourge/Nemesis Prime. (Though he came out way earlier then them) That’s how.

As I was finishing up turning Demolishor into Soundwave, I was coloring his Minicons, and his Vehicle mode has the Blackout figure in BOTH of his vehicle modes. I had a stray thought that since Soundwave’s Minicon was going to be blue and gray, and he’d be Rumble, I’d color one vehicle mode to be Rumble, and the other in Black and red to be Frenzy. Then I started thinking, wait a minute…Black and Red…repaint of Soundwave…SOUNDBLASTER! And he’d have Frenzy, a Minicon that fits in just as good as Soundwave and Rumble. Well, a few quick colors later, and here we have him. My Demolishor repainted into Soundwave, repainted again into Soundblaster. I’m not really happy with how he came out, at least not as much as I am with my Soundwave repaint. I think his vehicle mode looks nice, but the bot mode just looks…off. Probably because the way I had to distribute the red and black plastic. I tried to cover it up by ‘painting’ a good bit of the red plastic chest black, but I’m still not entirely happy with it. While I would kill for an actual toy of this guy, he’s just not AS good as Soundwave. Still pretty cool though. Think of Soundblaster as Powerlinx Soundwave.

Minicon is, of course, Frenzy, and next to Rumble, he’s probably the best and most fitting Minicon-to-Bigbot I’ve done. And for anyone who cares or wants to start crap, Rumble IS Blue, Frenzy IS Red. The cartoon is what gave them personalities we all feel in love with (who can hate the little ass hole punk trouble maker Rumble from the show). The cartoon made Rumble blue, and every time I picture Rumble, I picture the TV version, so RIBFIR it is then!
