Description A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for Armada Optimus Prime (Deluxe) downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]

Yet another repaint from my fully-intended, but marginally attempted G2 Project. I still want to do it some day, because I think G2 has some great molds, that really deserve some homages, especially some of the UK stuff. This is Staxx, one of the UK exclusive Powermasters or commonly called PowerEDmasters to avoid confusion with the sub-group of the same name. I think he’s a decent homage to the original craptacular toy, heh. I had repaints for all the Poweredmasters planned, but only got this guy and half of Bulletbike finished. D’ah well. Maybe someday I’ll work some more on these G2 homages.

Vehicle Mode HERE: [link]

Artwork is © Hasbro, only colored by me (and halfassed at that) in plain ol' MS paint.

Bulletbike is my fave, but this guy is cool too.

Even knowing what to expect color-wise you can't help but shield your eyes at the horribly miss-matched colors on this guy. And yet, they do kinda fit together, don't they? Must be all that black plastic that you used to counterbalance the brighter colors. (Well, that neon sky blue anyways. )

As for more G2 repaints... Waiting for TFCybertron to start popping up or have you truly lost interest in continuing this 'project' of yours? 'Cuz you already know what mold to use for Ramjet (Armada Thrust), Starscream (Energon Starscream), Inferno (Energon Inferno), Azure Grimlock (Energon Grimlock) and Jazz (Armada Sideswipe). (To name but a few.)

Well, i never gave up on the G2 project, since you know how big a fan of G2 I am. I'll never leave it completely. It just seems to have taken a far backseat to several of my other projects. MOST of my projects end up taking a backseat at one point or another. Remember my secret G1 project i kept dropping hints about a while ago? The one that was suposed to happen after the gestalt one? Yeah, that got shelved. I still wanna do it, but it's just a ton of work. I was also planning a Minibot one, where i used Arm and Eng deluxes for all the g1 minibots. That project got put aside too. My "Energon Wreckers" team...well that one is definitly a go, but it got put aside for the one i'm currently doing. The one I'm on now was just a halfhearted idea that turned into a full blown project. And believe it or not, with all the wedding crap going on, I've still managed to make serious progress on it. Almost done actually. Well, I still have like...6 or so different tf's i need to clean up the line art for, but with my recent aquisition of Kickback and Stormcloud, (Dude, Bruticus is going to be the UNMATCHED Pimp Daddy of the Energon Combiners. He looks so damn good with his limbs as both arms and legs. A+++. Only problem with that WHOLE team is Kickback/Blight's robot modes are a little funny, but not quite as bad as Hasbro's production pics make him seem. Other then that, the Eng Combaticons are like, 99.8% kickass, hehe.) I now have everything I need to complete this project. Repaint wise at least. I was planning on maybe doing a short (4-5 "issues/episodes") fan-fic series to go with them, but I don't know how that'll go, so if it doesn't work out, it may end up being just a repaint project, hehe. After that, it's back to the Wreckers project probably. And then a mini/side project that i recently got inspired to do using all the various Eng Combiner parts, but that'll only work if Hasbro releases some of the Combaticon instructions (my scans can't get the gestalt moded because of all the tinting and shading). AFTER all that, maybe then I'll go back to the G2 project. Though as you said, TF Cybertron is a freaking GOLDMINE of spectacular molds and they really would help make my G2 project quite a bit better. So ya never know. Hell, I don't even know what the hell I'll be working on next, heh. I'm funny that way.

Oh, and as for your G2 Repaint/Mold sugestions, as with the AM project, I was going to shy away from the G1 repainted figures. Those guys are already established enough that they don't NEED the new and improved repaints. I was going to stick with all the "new" G2 chars, especially the UK exclusives. Though when the whole project was finished, I wouldn't be surprised if I just added all the repainted G1 figures as an "addition" at the end, kinda like i did with the Action Master Elites. But, that's all if I ever actually GET back to the G2 project.
