Finally, after a long hyatus a new piece!I made this as my blogger's banner...now I just have to make it fit in there nicely.
At the stroke of 5, the young Duke invited his fiance to have tea at his family's residence. Needless to say, his parents were surprised.
Hope you like it.

I agree, the background is beautifully done, though I might say that in terms of perspective one can see too much of the top of the seat on the striped couch (that may or may not be true, I have the toughest time with perspective).
I love all the details in this, they create such a great contrast of the civilized setting and the wildness of the sea that she embodies.

I love perspective in other people's drawing and I always say to myself I should work on it, but then...you know how it is...
