My predictions of MU69 and it's moon. New Horizons will fly past this object in 2019. and i can't wait!!something tells me MU69 is an extremely long object for some reason. or something we have never seen before. either that, or it will look like just any ol potato. enjoy

Well, we'll know whether it's a peanut or a potato by the start of 2019 unless funding for the DSN is cut. (Nothing is safe these days...)

na they have too much pride with the New Horizons spacecraft. i can't see them cutting it. for now anyway.

MU69 is a really elongated object according to occultations, it might be even a contact binary. But a moon wasn't confirmed yet, right? I wouldn't be surprised if we find one, these seem quite common out there

Yes. for sure! also considering that the latest asteroid that passed by earth had 2 moons! we don't know of any moons yet around MU69, exactly like you say. and by the looks of it we really aren't sure of it's size at all either. i really hope it completely blows our minds in 2019. maybe it has the most ridiculous terrain, like Hyperion but 5 times more extreme. lol or it is a perfectly round blob like Methone (but i guess that is a different environment completely. )
