Good News For People Who Love Bad NewsDeviant Art doesn't like long winded titles apparently, so I had to shorten it.
I really liked the stylized bear mask worn by the Kuma character on Afro Samurai, so most of the character inspiration I owe to that. However, I'm sure that Cloverfield played some kind of role in the conception of the idea as well.
This painting took forever to finish as I'm not really fond of painting (or drawing) buildings, and I struggled with a bad case of artist's block somewhere at the halfway point.
I'm rather happy with the end result, though as is the case with almost every other piece in my gallery, there's about a million things I would have liked to change/do differently.

I'm not sure if you've ever heard of the TV show Invader Zim, but there's one episode where there's this massive fish dressed as a teddy bear...yeah, this reminds me of that. ;XD:

Excellent. I love the colors and the perspective is beyond perfect. The concept is a wonderful blend of those two movies (although I haven't seen either Afro Samurai or Cloverfield).
