Sakari is completed. His eyes have 'skin flaps' or that 'flap/shield' of skin in the corners of both eyes like a real cat. Now don't misunderstand, they don't move, but they do give him the appearance of being more lifelike and sleepy, especially in person. They appear wet, but it hasn't been easy to catch in pictures. I feel if I add more 'moisture' he may appear to have eye boogers...lol.

I used the eye mm size suggested by the head cast, but I feel I could have gone at least 2 sizes larger and altered the head form further to accommodate the larger eye size if I wanted to. I did use clay, and some other mediums while altering the head cast. I stayed away from ANY clay for the majority of the time to keep his head light and SOFT, so he isn't as hard to the touch as one might expect. He had his ear-canals, so I altered the head form to accommodate. His lips weren't turned either, as I was told by the seller so I did that, and his head leather needed some MAJOR thinning out which took me 2 hours to do in and of it's self. I had to rehydrate the area for another hour afterward even though I let him sit in the fridge over night after hydrating(about 12 hours).

Instead of backing the head form through the mouth area as you can do once and a while with other pelts such as foxes or yotes, I had to push the head form through the body and neck so the mouth wasn't stretched out of proportion.

The tan on this bobcat was also super stretchy, even before hydrating, which made the overall work MUCH easier to do and it withstood any tearing. I think he was dry tanned - but I haven't done any tanning myself in any way shape or form, so I don't really know for sure. But what I do know from the seller, is that he was tanned for mounting.
