With only mentions of Shadow cats in the books, (& in the TV series) with no explicit descriptions, I made a kitten or cub, out of rabbit fur and the ear backs from tri-colored coyote leg skins. The insides of the ears made from split suede. I imagine that when they are young, they start out a light fawn color to blend in with the undergrowth of the forests and all that snow north of the wall.The size of a 6 month old domestic cat, only bulkier, with a shorter tail

Thank you! The concept came from the authorΒ George R. R. Martin, who wrote theΒ Game of Thrones book series, and then the exceptionally well done TV series "Game of Thrones" came out that has been true to his books. And it's all OUTSTANDING! Anywhoo...
The "shadow cats" are barely mentioned in the books, and as of season 3((I don't have cable or satellite, so I have to wait for the series to be released on DVD - so I haven't seen season 4 yet...)), they only mention them by 'word.' So, no one knows anything about them, or has 'seen' them. So, since the books and the tv series have been pretty 'true to life,' I decided to come up with what I think a shadow cat kitten might actually look like.
And thank you so much!!!! If rabbit pelts hadn't gotten so darned expensive, (for what they are) I would make an entire litter of cubs!
