thank you so very much!
I had to use a telephoto with my tripod and the remote. Even pressing down the button blurred the image.

It is! Thankies!!
We have bunnies too... I love the bunnies... =^.^=

There is a Native American Indian legend that tells of two Indian Braves. I forgot the 'why's' of the legend, but the 1st brave became the bold sun by stepping into a sacred flame/fire 1st, however the 2nd Indian Brave was scared, and frightened like a rabbit when he stepped into the sacred fire, so he became the Moon with the silhouette of a rabbit branded on it to remind his brothers on Earth that 'you must always be brave.' ...if you turn the moon counter clockwise from the North American continent, you can see the 'rabbit.'
Β
There are several Native American legends and lore about the "Rabbit Moon" but this is the one I know best. I tried to Google the one I know of, but it currently eludes me.Β

That's funny, I just took a picture too. Though I don't think mine came out as clear

I took 93 pictures. lol. ONE came out. I used a tripod and a remote too... it was a royal pain in my butt! Believe it or not, taking a GOOD picture of the moon has been on my bucket list for YEARS. I've tried and tried and failed, that is 'till last night. That's one 'task' down! Don't worry, you'll get one too. XD

Yeah, same here! LOL I've always wanted to capture a good picture of the moon, especially when it's a harvest moon. I didn't pull my tripod out though, I just held my breath and tried to steady myself enough to get the pictures

That's what I did first... didn't work very well. lol And a lot of trees were in the way. I had to wait for it to get higher into the sky. Then I decided to stop being stubborn. LOL

Growing up we spent the Summers in Maine, and every couple of years or so the Harvest moon would rise reddish over the lake, and it was SO HUGE it looked like you could touch it if you got close enough. Wish I could go back in time and take pictures of it then. The sky was so much clearer too.Β
