Description
Biology of Necrozma Dawn Wings
A parasitic union between Necrozma and Lunala, the crystalline body of the black UB has embedded itself within the body of the winged beast. The prismatic brain of Necrozma can be seen flickering just below the obscuring black plate covering Lunala’s head membrane. While bound together in this way, it appears Necrozma has gained complete control of the host’s body, suspending Lunala’s consciousness and substituting its own over the host. Upon gaining control of Lunala, every particle of matter collected as a Cosmoem to comprise its body begins to react on an atomic level, beginning to deteriorate, generating light and heat which is then absorbed into Necrozma, slowly burning out the individual’s cellular structure.
While in this state, the luminosity of the once lustrous Lunala has kicked into overdrive, this form burns energy similar to the “Full Moon” phase of Lunala. However, with no pause to recoup energy the drain will be fatal on the host as it’s very essence is slowly burned away and consumed. Several anchor points of the crystalline body position themselves across Lunala, covering as much surface area as possible to collect stray energy as it emits from the degenerating body.
While the added weight of Necrozma’s segmented body undoubtedly hinders the flight of the beast, the increased energy output appears to somewhat counteract the added mass, though it has slowed from it’s unhindered form. The segments of Necrozma have positioned themselves around the body of the subjugated Lunala, protecting vital spots to preserve the host while Necrozma is in control. Additionally, the arms have embedded themselves around the legs of Lunala, using them as the now main method of physical attack, whereas previously Lunala would use its teeth in close range. Presumably this is to keep the crystalline brain from succumbing to damage and losing control of the host.
While in control of Lunala, Necrozma becomes hyper aggressive against any who approach it, lashing out by expelling bursts of energy and swinging the hard segments of it’s own body in an effort to incapacitate targets. It is unknown if consuming material would further fuel Lunala’s internal fusion process to extend its energy reserves while in this state of cellular meltdown.

Story:
Hovering before us now was a gleaming monster, what used to be Lunala had lost itself entirely to Necrozma as it’s crystalline body segments penetrated the skin of Lunala. Rising higher into the sky, it spread its wings, getting used to it’s new body Necrozma turned to face Phyco “Wonderful!” Phyco praised it’s reveal “Truly a marvelous first step on your path to blinding radiance!” then the beast swooped, attacking Phyco’s Naganadel, pinning it to the ground below the crystal claws.
“Stop! Stop! Listen to me!” he yelled, he scrambled through his belongings he reached for Lunala’s Pokeball, he attempted to recall it. The guiding light shot from the ball, nothing. Again he recalled Lunala, nothing but the sheiks of Naganadel being attacked. Again, and again he tried, each attempt making him more furious, but the Pokémon he was attempting to recall was no longer his, Necrozma had complete control of Lunala. He was able to finally return Naganadel, though in a brutalized state it would be safe within its capsule.
With no beast below it to focus its attention on, Lunala turned, slowly with a menacing intent, one may not think an animal could harbor such hate. But that’s what it was, no other explanation fits as clearly as Necrozma feeling nothing but pure malice towards Phyco. It approached him, wings outstretched, walking on the back of its claws towards the mustached man. It could have struck him at any time, his white combat suit would never hold up against what I have seen Necrozma do since it arrived. But it drew closer, staring him down as if to tell the man the cosmic scale of difference between where he stood and where Necrozma was standing. Energy rippled off the winged beast like smoke from a fire, I heard Phyco scream, babbling incoherently as the two locked eyes.
In an instant Necrozma was shot to the side, Solgaleo had regained its bearings and with a powerful charge, launched itself into Necrozma, with a loud crack. Solgaleo and Necrozma had now become locked in combat, however, where Lunala had been exhausted prior to our arrival, Necrozma was at full strength. On top of this Necrozma was utilizing Lunala’s full energy reserves, seemingly without care to what may happen to the body. Necrozma had latched onto Solgaleo, the massive claws digging into its body, motes of light flickering through the punctures in Solgaleo’s body.
A burst of light and fire and both Necrozma and Solgaleo were thrown back. I saw the flickering silhouette not far from myself, but it’s attention was still drawn towards Lunala, or rather Necrozma. Blacephalon was still in the area, recouping its energy somewhere before reattempting its attack, it’s head swelled again, preparing to strike. Necrozma took to the air, in mere seconds it closed the distance between the two of them, radiating energy, I felt the wind and heat beating off of Necrozma as it approached.
Just before impact a wormhole opened but the impact still rang out, Necrozma caught Blacephalon between space and hit the higher dimensional creature head-on. Seconds later a crash echoed from the forest, into which I attempted to flee Phyco earlier, smoke and dirt billowed up and Necrozma rose from the cloud. In an instant the area was blanketed by blue light and deep shadow as Necrozma spread its wings wide and let loose an unyielding burst of Lunala’s stored energy. To think a creature even of alien nature was capable of unleashing such a devastating attack, trees were toppled and the dust climbed higher as the crackling energy dug deep into the earth.
Pops and hisses were heard before finally a brilliant explosion of distorted light and fire flashed through the tree-line. Necrozma ended it’s assault and turned, Blacephalon had fallen, and now nothing stood between it’s rampage and Solgaleo.
What are we going to do…
