Description
Hi, everybody! Dakaueze here, and here's another Transformers Beyond reference sheet! Let us journey back to the beginning of the universe, and the birth of the Transformer race, as we meet Primus, the god of the Transformers!!!!This design of Primus is what he looked like before he became the core of Cybertron, back then he and the other members of the Guiding Hand were just non-corporeal digital entities before they became planets. Beyondverse Primus's look was inspired by early depictions of IDW Primus (before the whole Rung revelation in Lost Light's final arc), while you can all see that his head looks very similar to the IDW counterpart of a certain "turbo-revving young punk".
-
Overview: Primus is the creator-god of the Transformers. An ancient and ethereal being whose origins date back to the beginnings of the universe itself, Primus is a multiversal force for good. After the Theomachy, he would transform into the planet Cybertron; from its surface, his creations, the Transformers, have risen to defend and patrol the galaxy from his fallen brother, Unicron the Chaos-Bringer. A portion of his lifeforce resides within the Creation Matrix of Leadership, which often determines the leader of the Autobots. The spark of each Transformer is a small piece of Primus's essence, and together they form his lifeforce, the AllSpark. Though wise and powerful beyond measure, Primus is neither infallible nor without weakness as his own creations have long forgotten their true purpose of being the universe's last line of defense against Unicron as they've become mired in endless civil war.

Bio: Back when the universe was still young, Primus and his siblings, Unicron, Atlas, Solomus, Gaea, Adaptus, Epistemus, and Mortilus, began life as split personalities within a single omnipotent being only known as Daiakuron, who conversed with themselves as there was no creature equal to their god-like power. Soon, the personalities grew increasingly diverse from each other as each of them had different viewpoints in life, with Primus seeing beauty in all forms of life and finding it sacred. He was kind, peaceful, and protective, a being who keeps his words and respected what he dictates. It didn't take long for the divide between the eight personas to escalate, leading to Daiakuron splitting into Primus, Unicron, Atlas, Solomus, Gaea, Adaptus, Epistemus, and Mortilus. The eight gods and goddesses would become known as the Guiding Hand, who were tasked with exploring the universe and maintaining balance within it.
However, they soon began to argue over what they should do. Unicron wanted to eliminate anything and everything he deemed as imperfections, Adaptus wanted to promote evolution through starting conflicts and wars among alien races, while Primus and the others were just content to let things work at their own pace and that they should only step in if absolutely necessary. All of this would escalate into a devastating war between gods known simply as the Theomachy.
The battles between the members of the Guiding Hand waged across the universe for countless ages, causing galactic destruction that saw entire worlds being obliterated into nothingness. Throughout the war, Epistemus was killed during the early fighting, Adaptus was trapped within the form of a mechanical planet by Gaea, and through clever traps and tricks, Unicron was able to lock away Atlas, Solomus, Gaea, and Mortilus within the forms of planets as well. The only one standing between Unicron and his quest for universal destruction was Primus...
As the only two remaining members of the Guiding Hands left, Primus and Unicron battled across the universe for eons, their blood being spilled constant times and spread across the cosmos, being seeded on many worlds that supported life. In the far future, Primus's and Unicron's blood would be known as the elements Energon and Dark Energon respectively.
After hundreds of millions of years of fighting, Primus realized that if he and Unicron continued fighting, they would destroy everything. So, he decided to gamble on a long-term solution. Using the knowledge of the Omniversal Matrix, a haven for fallen gods, which he got from The One as the Guiding Hand's original form of Daiakuron, Primus combined his mind with his lifeforce, slowly gathering all of his power and strength. For thousands of years, Primus' power intensified as he battled Unicron until his power surpassed that of the Omniversal Matrix. He unleashed his power as he created from his being an artifact called the AllSpark to serve as a direct conduit to his power, to give life to his creations.
With the power of the AllSpark, he created thirteen heralds known as "the Covenant", consisting of Primon, Ariex, Taurotron, Geminator, Cancix, Leonicus, Virgol, Libras, Scorpius, Sagittarii, Capricun, Aquator, and Piscor, to serve as his companions and fight alongside him to defeat Unicron and his dark creations. Each of the Covenant's members was a being of light in the image of their creator and represented an aspect of Primus himself. While the Covenant and the Heralds of Unicron battled across the cosmos, Primus shifted his battle with his brother to the astral plane. He then immediately retreated back into the physical realm and boasted to Unicron that he'll soon have the upper hand against him. Unicron, thinking that his brother was onto something, followed Primus back to the real world, only to have both of their essences manifest within the core of a barren planet, which would become the fourth planet of the Hadean System (Cybertron's solar system).
Locked away within the Fourth Planet of the Hadean System, Primus and Unicron began to recover their strength, resulting in their energies reacting to the planet's minerals, producing numerous energon deposits and reservoirs that grow and spread across the surface of their planetary prison, giving them a dim awareness of their surroundings. This would lead to the Fourth Planet being discovered by both the Covenant and the Heralds of Unicron, engaging in combat as Primus's heralds prevented the Chaos-Bringer's minions from going into the planet's core and freeing their dark master. After the Heralds of Unicron's defeat, the Covenant journeyed to the core, where they found Primus's AllSpark and Unicron's Anti-Spark trapped within. They are able to make contact with Primus through the AllSpark, who congratulates them for their victory over the Dark Gods. He explains to them that while Unicron is neutralized for the moment, he fears that he'll eventually escape and continue his plans of universal destruction. He then reveals to them his Grand Plan, stating that he'll use the AllSpark's life-giving powers to create a new species that'll serve as the universe's last line of defense against the Chaos-Bringer if he ever escaped from his prison. Before going into hibernation within the planet's core, Primus tasks the Covenant to teach his Children about their world and help them thrive while he reshapes his prison into a living, technorganic world, which they would name "Primordion".
Through Primus's will, the AllSpark created a myriad of technorganic lifeforms on Primordion, among them was a sentient race of bipedal humanoids who called themselves the Primordials. With the aid of the Covenant, the Primordials quickly formed an advanced civilization, becoming famous astronomers and explorers across the universe as they were responsible for creating their own form of interstellar travel: the Space Bridges, which would be used as a form of interplanetary transport by their Cybertronian successors.
Primordion was a paradise, a technorganic Garden of Eden....but every paradise has its own serpent.
One of the Covenant members, Scorpius, slowly grew to dislike his new life, which to him embodies a kind of chaos as much as an order that his siblings seem oblivious to. As time passed, Scorpius' dislike transitioned into hatred and darkness within his heart, believing that the Primordials are tainted by aspects of Unicron, paranoid that they may one day free the Chaos-Bringer from his prison within Primordion's core and cause the destruction of all creation. He speaks to his siblings about his thoughts, attempting to convince them to destroy the Primordials before they turn against them, but the other Covenant members, even Primon, dismiss his concerns. After getting no answers to his concerns from Primus, Scorpius decided to take matters into his own hands and attempted to wipe out the Primordials. In response, his siblings raise arms to stop their fallen brother's rampage and protect the Children of Primus.
This all leads to a conflict even more devastating and destructive than the future Cybertronian Civil Wars. An apocalyptic battle that'll be forever known in Primordion history as "Point Omega".
Point Omega goes in full swing as Scorpius battles the other members of the Covenant. The battles of the Covenant were so great and disastrous, the Primordion biosphere was torn asunder, killing hundreds of billions of Primordials across the planet's surface. Now in the brink of extinction, the surviving Primordials retreat into forgotten caverns in Primordion's deep underground, leaving behind the last remnants of their great civilization and beginning a long devolution into a race of biomechanical energon "Demons".
With Primordion's biosphere destroyed, the Covenant continue their seemingly never-ending battle against Scorpius. Ariex, Taurotron, Geminator, Cancix, Leonicus, Virgol, Libras, Sagittarii, Capricun, Aquator, and Piscor all die in gruesome deaths at the hands of Scorpius. The only member of the Covenant remaining, Primon uses up all of his power and strength to finally defeat Scorpius, tearing his entire body into asunder and casting his remains across Primordion to never be reunited.
While Primon was the victor in Point Omega, he was alone and mortally wounded after his final battle. Despite being mortally wounded, Primon gathers up the remains of his eleven siblings and journeys into Primordion's core to consul with Primus on what to do next.
Saddened by these turn of events, Primus declares that he'll use the AllSpark to create a new race in the place of the Ancients. He saves Primon's life by reformatting into a new body that'll serve as his connection to his Children while he continues to slumber and keeps Unicron at bay within the planet's core. Primon's new form would become a life-giving supercomputer that would be known as Vector Sigma, tasked to serve as a guide for the new Children of Primus. Under Vector Sigma's supervision and guidance, Primordion is rebuilt and reformatted into the mechanical world that would be known as "Cybertron".
Primus created a race of shapeshifting robots known as the Cybertronians, also known as the Transformers, in his image and likeness; granting them a spark of life along with free will so they won't be like dolls without their own life. Forging them from the Covenant's remains, he created the original 13 Transformers, the Thirteen Primes, to serve as their race's leaders and greatest warriors. Before going into hibernation, he gave the Primes a life-giving artifact filled with all of his wisdom that would be known as the Creation Matrix of Leadership.
During the early days of Transformer civilization, their civilization was humble and small compared to the planet-spanning cities and empires of future eras, but for many eons, Cybertron knew almost perfect harmony, making great advances in education, medicine, and art. It was the closest Cybertron ever came to a true utopia. It was the only age that Primus truly felt joy....
....but sadly, it was not to last.
Within the core of Cybertron, ever since he was imprisoned by Primus, Unicron tested the limits of his prison, searching for any weaknesses and fighting to break free, but thankfully all of his attempts of escape were stopped by Primus. However, the more the Chaos-Bringer resisted his imprisonment, Primus became weaker and weaker. Soon, it didn't take long for the strengths of Unicron's prison to lessen, the Thirteen Primes were alerted by their creator about the dire situation. United as one, the Thirteen journeyed to the Ignition Chamber and battled against the Chaos-Bringer, wielding their unique and complementary powers to keep him imprisoned within Primus. But Unicron was too powerful, and Primus remains well below his full strength. Unicron escaped and immediately return to exact his revenge. The Thirteen Primes and their acolytes, the Knights of Cybertron, would fight the Chaos-Bringer in Primus's stead, using the full power of the Creation Matrix to seemingly destroy Unicron.
Primus stayed out of the First Cybertronian Civil War, only when Micronus Prime, Onyx Prime, and The Arisen allowed themselves to be absorbed by the Well of All Sparks in order to activate it. Using Onyx Prime's artifact, the Triptych Mask, Primus scanned all lifeforms in the known universe and used it as a template for the second generation of Transformers, using the AllSpark to birth a population in three days' time. Soon, the tales of the Guiding Hand were reduced to legend and Primus was a deity consigned to myth by most modern Cybertronians. In the eras that followed, many religions and cults on Cybertron and its colonies such as the First Church of Primus, the Neo-Primalists, the Reversionists, the Way of Flame, the Matrix Templars, and the Followers of the Guiding Hand were formed in Primus's honor.
During the Third Cybertronian Civil War between the Autobots and the Decepticons, Megatron commissioned "Project Juggernaut", planning to use the mighty powers of the AllSpark to transform Cybertron itself into an interstellar juggernaut that would allow the Transformers to usher in an era of universal conquest and expansion. Project Juggernaut oversaw a drastic reengineering of the planet's interior, with the Decepticons giving Cybertron a gigantic T-Cog. Project Juggernaut would've seen Cybertron transform into two different alt-modes: a gigantic battlecruiser and a robot mode that was cast in the likeness of Primus. However, Project Juggernaut never saw its completion when Optimus Prime's Autobots ejected the AllSpark into deep space to keep it out of Decepticon hands.
Before the AllSpark's ejection, during the early days of the Great War, the life-giving artifact created a final generation of Cybertronians, with most of them like Bumblebee joining the Autobots, before going dormant. The very last Transformer to be created by the AllSpark before its loss was an unaligned Cybertronian who went by the name Rodimus Minor, better known by his nickname "Hot Rod". Cybertron's head recordskeeper and a former member of the Thirteen Primes, Alpha Trion alone noticed how Rodimus's unique body-type had a close resemblance to Primus and wonders what this forebodes in the foreseeable future.
Weaponry/Equipment:
- AllSpark: The AllSpark is a powerful crystal encased within an indestructible containment vessel that possesses unfathomable power, created by Primus with the energies of the Omniversal Matrix, a heavenly realm that served as a haven for fallen gods. Believed to be carrying out the will of Primus, the AllSpark is responsible for the creation of the Cybertronian race. In truth, the physical AllSpark is but a shell to contain the incredible life-giving energies within; should that shell be destroyed the energies will remain as potent as ever, contained within the artifact's scattered pieces. Any AllSpark fragments would still possess the incredible power that the original object did.
- Sword of Primus: The Sword of Primus, also known as the Blade of Primus, was a powerful weapon wielded by Primus that allowed him to cut, not just planets, but entire galaxies in half. He used the Sword to battle against Unicron and Adaptus during the Theomachy. The Sword of Primus ceased to exist when Primus became the core of Cybertron, however, it has become the inspiration of legendary blades within the Artifacts of the Primes, the most notable being the Star Saber and the Terminus Blade.
- Primax Spear: The Primax Spear was a melee weapon wielded by Primus during his battle against Unicron and Adaptus during the Theomachy. The spear ceased to exist when Primus became the core of Cybertron.
