As I said some days ago, this Monday that comes I will go to the social service, so I took my last day that I will have free time for doing some free drawing.
I had planned to post some other stuff I did last year, but I just wanted to enjoy posting something without a long description, without an specific reason.
I was doodling when I imagined Estelle in a 50's costume, and I said "why not? Everybody liked her" . Plus, I wanted to see how she looked like in a polka dots dress.
Also, she curled up her hair a lot more to make herself a retro hairstyle.
I've been practicing drawing her in these days cos I would like to make the character recognizable. For example here; even when she changed her hairstyle you can recognize her because of the face, specially the nose and the lips.
And a curious fact, Jean has his mom's nose.
Sorry about the quality of the drawing, I will try to take a better photo tomorrow with the daylight.

Hace tiempos que no veo vestidos así, con la textura de puntos, todo este dibujo tiene el encanto de otros tiempos y las palameras le da un toque tropical bastante ameno.

Que padre que te haya gustado el dibujo y sobre todo el estilo retro del vestido. Lo retro siempre va a estar de moda en mi opinión!
Las palmeras fue algo que se me ocurrió después, pues pensé que me darían un buen toque al retrato.

great chair (the shading on the wood of the chair is super shiney~) and dress (she sure looks super beautiful in 50's fashion).
I just find the folds on her left leg to flatten the volumes and the fact that the left shoulder is higher than the right on makes the pose more forced.

Je vois je pensais que c'était du bois ou de l'effet pour la chaise donc ca me paraissait bizarre xD

Me encanta!! El coloreado es increíble!! La verdad es que ambas técnicas, a mano y con ordenador, se te dan genial.
Me gusta Estelle! Es ese tipo de personajes al que puedes vestir con diferentes estilos, hacerles diferentes peinados, y siempre va a estar charmante. Son personajes muy amables y agradecidos, ya que se adaptan a cualquier cosa

Desde que perdí mi tablet he estado practicando dibujar a mano otra vez, porque me preocupaba un poco estar perdiendo mi habilidad para dibujar.
Un amigo artista me que eso era normal despues de usar mucho la tablilla, y que solo debería practicar mas dibujar a mano. Y creo que está funcionando.
sualmente no me gusta mucho usar colores de grafito porque dejan pequeños huecos que se ven rato, pero ahora me ha estado dando por usarlos

Casi nadie se ha dado cuenta de esa característica de ella...de hecho tu eres la primera persona en hacerlo! Me hace muy feliz!
Y es cierto! Yo siempre procuro que mis personajes sean versátiles. Me gustan mucho los personajes adaptables, a los que les puedes hacer diferentes estilos y aún así son reconocibles. Para eso me fijo mucho en las características de los personajed como el tipo de nariz, de labios, etc.

Creo que yo soy el caso contrario!! xDD Lo dibujo todo a mano y luego cuando me pongo frente al ordenador no sé que hacer !! xDD pero bueno, como bien dices, a base de practicar y refrescar se vuelve a coger soltura.
Es verdad! Las caracteristicas son muy importantes! Cuanto mas diferentes y originales, mas especial es el personaje. Y se nota la versatilidad en tus creaciones; eso es algo genial, porque la animación y el propio arte son versátiles, siempre están cambiando y adaptándose.

Bueno...No se si serán tan buenos en realidad 
...hay muchos otros artistas que son mucho mejores que yo. Hay muchos que tienen mejores técnicas y me siento un poco mal por no haber podido hacer un mejor trabajo con las primeras páginas de comic que hice, por no tener tablet

It's still a bit difficult for me to make good looking drawings when painting with colored pencils, so I used markets for some parts.
I wasn't sure if it was a good result, but I think I feel better about this now
