Description

“It's been a year since we took down Natasha Wolfgang’s Templar regime in Indianapolis.  And for a while, things seemed relatively peaceful.  But now a new mission has crept its way into our lives, one that'll take me back to a century long lost, into the memories of my ancestor as she fights to redeem her mistakes and bring freedom to this divided nation.  But my own story is still far from over.  Indianapolis is still under threat, and in my quest to save it I'll make new enemies... and loose new friends.  This city is my home, its people my friends, and I'll do whatever I can to set it free.  My name is Carter Spainhower, descendant of Priscilla Abbott, and I am an Assassin.”

------------

Guys!  Guys!  I've got another fan fiction done and ready for upload! Huzzah!

I was hoping to get it done before the holidays, but then life got in the way and then I procrastinated and it was just a terrible downward spiral, but hey it's here now! ^^

Special thanks to my friend Jacob ( ) for co-writing a good chunk of the modern day segments of the story with me and for letting me use his OC in the story

This one is a sequel to two of my other fanfics.  The modern day portion of it is a sequel to “Resilience”, and the historical portion of it is a sequel to “Anthem”.  The modern day portion shows the return of the Hoosier Assassins fighting off the remains of the shattered Templar Order in Indianapolis.  It's also a Watch_Dogs crossover XD Because I'm one of those people who firmly sticks to the headcanon that the Watch_Dogs universe and the Assassin's Creed universe are one and the same.

The historical portion of the story stars my real-world ancestor, Priscilla Spainhower, a young woman from Point Commerce who lived in mid 1800s America.  While I'm sure in real life her life was rather dull and static, in the story she's a Master Assassin, apprentice of Aveza Deryn and an early feminist/abolitionist trying to liberate the minorities of a divided nation in the late 1840s ^^

So yeah, new fanfic ready to go!

The first chapter should be up tomorrow, and I'll just do what I normally do and upload a chapter every other day, between the days where I upload my drawings.

Really hope you guys enjoy it ^^

AWESOME!!!!!!

This is a great cover and a lot of details, also the DNA is cool to seperate these two assassins.
And the colouring of the sky is really nice, too

In all these years I've learned that the Templars and Assassins are two sides of the same coin. One seeks Peace through Freedom, the Other seeks it through Order, divided by these incompatible creeds both use methods that would be seen as extreme or wrong to the rest of the world.
One Murder's, one Manipulates. Both have shaped History and both have been made up of good and bad people.

Their war is Older then Human history, and only they remember Those Who Came Before. Their bloodlines allow some of us to Soar and see in ways Un-imagined. One of these Precursors defied their people's end and seeks to remake this world under her, uncaring that her time has passed.

Who will win...? Let's look back and see.

Unfortunately I'm really bad at writing "good" Templars I'm inherently biased to the Assassin side of things, and thus I'm terrible at the whole moral greying aspect of the AC world.  The closest I ever got was writing Shay as the Grand Master in "Anthem".

avenger09 In reply to Avapithecus [2017-01-10 22:49:56 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I noticed that. I've always been fascinated by the Moral Greyness of the conflict. You get bastards, saints, the conflicted and self reflection on both sides.

Altair for example talked about the contrition in desiring peace, but achieving it by killing.

In all fairness the Templars of the modern setting are the most self deluded Berg being the sole exception. I wonder if any other Templars might also dislike how there colleges have gotten too used to being a Corporation. It be interesting to see a coup take place in the Inner Circle with Berg and other's placing their Order back on the right track.

CowgirlsOfCanada In reply to Avapithecus [2017-01-11 19:20:38 +0000 UTC]

True... but all the cowboyness happened around 1880s where as 1860 was gold and crap

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Avapithecus In reply to CowgirlsOfCanada [2017-01-11 19:51:05 +0000 UTC]

1860s had cowboys too

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

CowgirlsOfCanada In reply to Avapithecus [2017-01-11 20:07:24 +0000 UTC]

A lot of ranch hands had left there jobs to hunt for gold in the 1860s so ranchers had to hire young men and boys thus the word tho cowboys and the type of ranching was around before that. The hats the herding, all of it, tho the hats and styles of riding and etc depends on the area.... I learned a lot of this from old westerns (and bordrtown) but also from personal experience

I thought the gold rush started in the 1840s?  Well, in California at least And that as well as living space and work opportunities persuaded a lot of people to move out west?  That's what I learned in school at least lol

Avapithecus In reply to CowgirlsOfCanada [2017-01-11 20:20:47 +0000 UTC]

I'll have to do some research on that time period XD
I live in the midwest, so we don't really focus on the old frontier stuff in school.  We were mostly caught up in the Civil War and trying to clean up the mess afterwards

CowgirlsOfCanada In reply to Avapithecus [2017-01-11 20:22:44 +0000 UTC]
