Great tutorial! I suggest using a trammel instead of a compass for the lines closer to the center, and also working on a paper 2x larger than the image.

I had to dig a while for a decent tutorial, and this was one of the two that were actually useful about this.

This one is good, helpfull, but its kind of pointless if you dont know how to draw buldings, well unless youre making cartoons, then you can draw cartoony buldings.

If you know just a little perspective, you can draw buildings easily! Β They are just straight lines

god I've been looking for tips on drawing fisheye perspective for ages. I never heard the term 'five point perspective' before and I never realized how straightforward it was! thank you for breaking this down and making it make sense, this is super useful!

How do I determine how far from the center I move the compass to make the arc I want?

When you create the lines to connect point A and B, do you have to adjust the radius for the compass? That part is throwing me off

Yes! After drawing the circle, open up the compass a little bit, put the pencil tip on point A and the compass point on the horizontal axis. Then you can draw a line from point A to point B and it should be inside the circle. Then open up the compass a little more and repeat. These lines should get closer and closer to the vertical axis.

what if you wanted to do this for a longer piece? I feel like you would make the circle larger than the paper.

This tutorial was extremely helpful! Thank you so much! I've always wondered how people create a fish-eye perspective.
A quick question, is there such thing as a 4-point perspective? And how would you draw that?
Thank you so much again!

I'd like to see a more detailed tutorial that covers oblique angles, elipses, measuring points, diagonal vanishing points, measure bars, etc. in 5 point perspective. Still, this is a nice, easy to understand tutorial on a very complex subject.
