This was actually done all on paper. I did the perspective lines in photoshop for this tut since they werent visible on paper.
I hope that I can find the time too. Ive been away for so long.

You made lines in photoshop and then printed it to draw over it digitally?
I already very much look up to this, haha. So to hear you saying "I feel it was quite bare", I am a little surprised. But I do hope you will find some more time in the future to show more work in progresses!

This tutorial, as bare as it is, blew my mind, and I can't thank you enough for posting it.
Before I discovered this, I dreaded drawing backgrounds. Regular sketches even frustrated me sometimes, but you taught me how to be organized with my sketches.
You see, before I was like... what do I draw first? The background or the character? And things may turn out to be a mess as I draw them. But when I saw the fact that you filled the picture out from left to right little by little instead of jumping all over the place, things began to make SO MUCH SENSE.
And even now as I practice it, things seem more in my reach, So I'm not afraid to draw crowds, or a mech, or.... a futuristic slum!
...But wow... it just seems so obvious. I wonder why most of us don't think of it.

Thanks, this is great, though I have already a book on perspective using one, two and three escape points for the lines, or whatever they are called. This is still great, it shows how easily you do this

There are a ton of ways to do this. One way- If your using Photoshop, keep your images on separate layers, crop the image larger if you need to with the crop tool, and use the text tool to put in your ...text.

Without photo editing software, your pretty limited. All I can think of is Microsoft Word or maybe even MS paint which might be a pain.
I recommend Photoshop for all your needs.

Draw from left to right. I can't believe how much of a difference that makes xD
May I ask where the final drawing is? I can't seem to find it anywhere in your gallery

This is magnificent. I'm currently in college and practicing perspective, it's difficult. It's hard for me to use my imagination but I'm going to try what you adviced me to do.

HB mech pencil!? Amazing! Strange, but I can't seem to relax with it. Only when I hold a pen am I confident enough that I can draw good enough. Strange...

For me, studying real mouths from life helps the most. For example, my own mouth, from pictures, and seeing various people when I go out.

W-whoaa... That's crazy. When i saw the transition between just the lines to the slight outlined buildings with only so little detail, it's like the paper transformed into something else. I'll definitely be needing this sometime, Thanks so much for making this
