Don't mind me, just trying to figure out a reason why Dal sucks at using his paintbrush while Junior's already a master with his hahaha owo"

When Junior first showed up in Sunshine, he said that when he drew with his paintbrush, "all [his] wishes come true," so I guess one could connect some of his paintbrush's abilities with his imagination. I mean he was able to create monsters, pollute an entire island with said monsters, make the Shine Sprites that were guarding the island run and hide, and turn himself into a paint-y version of Mario (and fool the island natives, but one could chalk that up to them being really, really stupid), and still does the latter now in smash bros.

As for Dal, he's a less wild dude, and his paint doesn't really do much unless his emotions are going haywire. If he uses his paint when he's calm, the most he can do is make a shitty portal that doesn't even take him where he wants to go, though every now and again I think about what could happen if he just went wild... coughpaintgolemcough
