Description -Real Name: Leonard Snart
-First Appearance: Showcase #8 (1957)

The man who mastered absolute zero and a perfect villain for the Flash since they're atomic opposites. When designing Captain Cold, I wanted to make sense of his uniform which made me decide to try and make his design look normal with special patterns. I made his ice thing he wears a part of his jacket. Let me me tell you there's jackets with similar patterns, I've seen them before. I decided to give him his golden iconic belt and also his boots. Finally is his glasses which fit him perfectly because the sun can reflect light on snow and cause snow blindness if someone is exposed to it for too long. The goggles, which were inspired by Inuit ones, prevent light coming in from the top or the side which allows Leonard to act in dangerous things without risking snow blindness and also allows him to focus better. I of course gave him his iconic ice gun and also gave him a bag to put it in.

Captain Cold Fact: In the early days of Captain Cold's career, he had a weird power with his ice gun. He could create mirages out of nowhere. This has actual scientific facts. When a hot ground interacts with a cold sky it could create imagery that doesn't exist such as water or lakes (I saw this in the desert a lot) and it's called "Inferior mirage" and the opposite is "superior mirage" which occurs when there is a temperature inversion; the air below the line of sight is colder than the air above it similar to what Captain Cold does but in reality, it makes already existing thing seem greater while Leonard just creates things out of nothing.

Captain Cold is owned by DC Comics.
