Description
This is my character Dr. Gravity, and he was for a project *nyanko-chan was having on LJ.Pen lineart, photoshop colors. Please don't mention that I can't draw hands. -_-

You can't draw hands. Somebody had to say that... I lied, the hands are fine. Not much to criticize here. Or elsewhere.
I like this drawing, the character is interesting, so is his outfit. Nice hat, with this good touch of the red string (with shadow!), funny lace adding a touch of originality to a rather classical (but well made) coat.
He has personality, for sure.

But this picture kinda brings out a michevious, demeaning nature I guess - I like Dr. G's pose and the threads that hang.

Doc G, those eyes pull me into his gaze. I can't really explain why though. I love his expression. I can't tell you how much I love his clothes and pose right now, the black and red is lovely!

I swear, I just don't understand why OCs have to look like another character. There wasn't anything in my mind the moment I saw Doc G. He's awesome. I understand how you feel when some people comment like that. It's worse when they comment about their own charries in your deviation :<

Yay! \o/ That's my biggest aim with his character design - his captivating eyes. Good to know I got that across. 
Ugh, I get those comments so much! It's so disconcerting... here I think "People say 'wow! He's so pale and tired-looking...' and 'What an amazing gaze!' and I know I accomplished what I was trying to get across! " But then people say "He looks like so-&-so!" and I'm not sure if I succeeded at all then... -_-;

If Doc G looks like Willy Wonka then we might as well say that anyone with a top hat is him.
I think wonka's character is iconic and well known in popular culture, so naturally he might be the first thing to pop into peoples heads when they see a black outfit and a top hat. For me it's personality that distiguishes a lot about the character. Their personalities seem quite different to me so I didn't even notice a connection until you said so ^___^

Thanks! It's a little different than his normal one to fit into the flat black/red detail color scheme for the project, but I like it a lot.
